Single-Family Product Owner, Manager

Freddie Mac's Single-Family Fraud and Financial Crimes team invites a Product Owner Manager to lead the development and execution of a product strategy that protects the enterprise, lenders, and borrowers from evolving fraud and financial crime risks. This onsite role in McLean, VA offers a clear path to influence fraud detection, analytics, case management, and risk-mitigation solutions. You will serve as the customer connection, translating insights into prioritized work and communicating objectives to stakeholders while partnering with business, technology, and risk teams. Your responsibilities

• Define and sustain a clear product vision for fraud detection, analytics, case management, and risk-mitigation solutions.
• Translate fraud trends, investigator workflows, regulatory expectations, and operational needs into prioritized product features.
• Collaborate with technology, risk, QC, enterprise fraud, seller/servicer oversight, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, defensible solutions.
• Analyze threats, performance metrics, and user feedback to refine strategy and improve product effectiveness.
• Connect strategy and execution, ensuring alignment across roadmap, delivery, and enterprise fraud-risk objectives.
• Serve as a subject-matter resource within Freddie Mac and contribute to industry discussions on modern fraud-risk management.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies or a degree are preferred.
• 8 to 10 years of related product, risk, fraud, or operational experience; 2+ years in a leadership or influential role.
• Experience working across matrixed organizations and supporting cross-functional delivery.
• Ability to translate compliance or fraud risk challenges into actionable product strategy.
• Proven ability to clearly communicate vision, roadmap, and value to diverse partners.
• Experience with operations systems and workflow; familiarity with fraud detection, case management, analytics, or compliance technology is a plus.
• Skilled in market analysis, trend identification, and modern product management practices.

• Salary: USD 141,000 - 211,000 per year
