Sr. Product Manager
Job Description
The Sr. Product Manager will lead product strategy, roadmap execution, and commercialization for Iteris hardware management and monitoring software and services, including VantageLink and VantageCare. The role also guides device platform requirements across monitoring, remote configuration, diagnostics, OTA updates, and lifecycle service tiers, supporting a unified and secure management experience for the installed base.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and product requirements for device monitoring, remote configuration, diagnostics, health reporting, alerts, and OTA firmware/software update workflows.
- Own commercialization for management software and service tiers, such as device management, monitoring, preventative maintenance, warranty/coverage tiers, and support bundles; partner with Sales and Marketing on positioning, TCO models, and launch plans.
- Drive integration requirements across device firmware, cloud services, and customer-facing tools to deliver a unified monitoring and management experience.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure management software and services support bundling and enable upsell/cross-sell across the Iteris portfolio.
- Shape hardware product strategy and roadmap across sensors, edge compute, and connectivity with an emphasis on manageability, reuse, and manufacturability.
- Translate customer needs and business goals into platform requirements and hardware specifications, including performance, power, environmental needs, mounting, networking, cybersecurity, compute, and storage.
- Partner with hardware and software engineering to define interface contracts and software abstraction layers that enable multi-product reuse.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain on component selection, cost targets, reliability, test plans, and BOM optimization.
- Contribute to hardware lifecycle management, including revisions, EOL/EOS, backward compatibility, and migration planning, balancing innovation with minimal customer disruption.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on certification/compliance plans and launch readiness gates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- More than five (5) years of experience in product management, including a record of launching and managing successful products across the lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, connectivity, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
- Experience with transportation technology preferred.
- Experience with computer vision, artificial intelligence, and data analytics preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and be customer-facing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and associated Product Owner roles.

Compensation and Location
- Salary range: USD 130,500 - 163,800 per year
- Primary work location will be determined based on the selected candidate’s geographic location and business needs: Austin, TX, Irvine, CA, or Santa Ana, CA
