Sr Product Manager - Enterprise Data
Job Description
Thrivent is building an Enterprise Data product portfolio that supports corporate functions with trusted, reusable capabilities for analytics, governance, operational decision-making, and AI-enabled experiences. This onsite role in Minneapolis, MN partners across business and technology teams to shape long-term strategy, drive roadmap execution, and track outcomes through measurable KPIs.
What you’ll do
- Own the long-term product roadmap as part of broader business strategy for enterprise data products.
- Develop a clear product strategy grounded in personas, use cases, customer benefits, and solution value propositions.
- Ensure business strategies are translated into product roadmaps and executed iteratively.
- Lead collaboration to manage, prioritize, and sequence roadmap releases across multiple products, aligned to capacity constraints.
- Resolve stakeholder conflicts constructively and guide tradeoff discussions to support high-value decisions.
- Define and track Key Performance Metrics, ensuring KPIs deliver the intended business value and coaching teams on gaps.
- Engage regularly with customers and users to uncover implicit and explicit needs, convert them into product hypotheses, and refine solutions through testing.
- Collaborate across product teams to create and roll out operational plans, while facilitating alignment between teams.
- Consult with business and technology partners on broader roadmap objectives.
- Coach team members on product management effectiveness and agile techniques to mature capabilities across the team.
- Research industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness, and apply advanced product management knowledge to coach others.

- Provide supervision in a non-direct manner, with responsibility for large complex product teams that include cross-functional members (no direct personnel supervisory responsibility is specified).
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant business experience, including in a product owner role or similar.
- Experience in enterprise data products, analytics, reporting, governance, or data platform initiatives in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes for enterprise products or platforms.
- Ability to partner with business leaders, data engineers, architects, and technical delivery teams.
- Experience leading product discovery and translating business needs into product investments and roadmap priorities.
- Strong prioritization and tradeoff-management skills across competing stakeholder needs.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across business and technology teams.
- Expertise in Agile Product Management principles, stakeholder management, market and user research, technology management, and process design.
- Certified Product Manager or similar certification.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Azure, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance and practices including metadata management, data quality, lineage, or master data management.
- Financial services experience related to enterprise functions such as regulatory, compliance, operational, or risk-related domains.
- Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, and business unit strategy, with outcomes expressed using relevant metrics.
- Strong foundation across the product cycle (discovery, design, build, release, measure), with success leading product teams in multiple contexts.
- Financial management skills to administer budgets across multiple products and ensure return on investment requirements are met.

Compensation and benefits
Salary range: $139,455.00 to $188,676.00 per year. Final base pay will depend on location, relevant experience, skills, knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors.
