Job Description

Databricks is seeking a Senior Staff Strategic Product Operations Manager to design an internal operational ecosystem that connects Engineering, Product, and GTM. The role focuses on building scalable frameworks, converting execution signals into business outcomes, and improving the product development lifecycle.

Role Focus

You will define how teams align across product lifecycle milestones, revenue readiness, and field execution. This includes advising executive leadership on investments and opportunity costs, and creating decision-ready visibility from complex organizational data.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern a strategic engagement model between Engineering, Product, and GTM, integrating product lifecycle milestones with field readiness and revenue velocity.
  • Serve as an executive advisor, applying consultant-style rigor to evaluate business investments, including resource allocation, unit economics, and opportunity costs associated with scaling a Data and AI platform.
  • Convert multi-dimensional organizational signals into coherent business insights, translating engineering velocity into market impact for high-stakes decision-making.
  • Lead the evolution of the product development lifecycle (PDLC) by identifying structural bottlenecks and designing scalable solutions that increase throughput while maintaining technical quality.
  • Bridge the technical “How” and the business “Why,” establishing a shared language of success for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate operational alignment across Support, Product, Engineering, and Analytics, strengthening product readiness and continuous improvement in support workflows.
  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives to scale global Support operations, including coverage models, KPI frameworks, and support process improvements.
  • Translate operational pain points into product and tooling requirements, partnering with internal tools, engineering, and analytics to enable automation, improve triage efficiency, and enhance AI assistant capabilities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that measure support effectiveness, highlight product-driven case trends, and track customer experience across support channels.
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles, including headcount, capacity modeling, and budget alignment in partnership with Finance and Workforce Management.
  • Shape executive-level narratives by turning support and operational insights into clear, data-driven inputs for product and business decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years of professional experience in Management Consulting, Product Strategy, Technical Program Management, or Operations within the technology sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, mathematical, or analytical field (examples: Computer Science, Engineering, Economics).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and scaling operational frameworks or internal software systems in a high-growth SaaS or enterprise technology environment.
  • Expert capability to work with large, complex datasets using SQL-based tools and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to drive strategic decisions.
  • Proven experience leading high-stakes, multi-quarter initiatives across diverse cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product, and Sales.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies for non-technical executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Databricks tools, especially for extract/transform/load functions.
