Staff Product Manager, Experimentation
Job Description
The Staff Product Manager, Experimentation will set product strategy and own the roadmap for FanDuel’s experimentation capabilities, supporting sophisticated, high-velocity marketing tests. This role partners closely with MarTech, Data, and Analytics teams to build experimentation infrastructure, guardrails, and cross-functional operating processes that balance speed with rigor.
Role Overview
Own FanDuel’s experimentation product strategy for enabling repeatable, scalable testing across the marketing stack. Coordinate with internal partners to translate business priorities into clear product requirements, technical specifications, and delivery plans for experimentation infrastructure and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the experimentation team to understand vision, operational challenges, and business priorities that inform the experimentation roadmap.
- Define and take ownership of the experimentation product roadmap by translating business needs into requirements and technical specifications.
- Advance the generosity test and learn program by leading development of reinforcement learning capabilities and AI-enabled experiment workflows.
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering to define data requirements, ensuring the right data infrastructure and methodologies for rapid, contextual feedback loops and model development.
- Define and enforce experimentation guardrails, including frequency caps, exposure limits, and statistical validity thresholds to protect player experience and P&L while enabling fast iteration.
- Produce clear PRDs, run structured discovery, and ship incrementally while balancing platform investment with near-term marketing needs.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders on priorities, feasibility, and resource allocation.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, roadmap changes, and resource needs, flagging dependencies and constraints early.
- Work with MarTech Product teams so experimentation becomes a native, low-friction capability, supported by a dedicated roadmap tied to business outcomes.
- Represent generosity experimentation within platform-wide architecture and prioritization discussions (including decisions related to Campaign360 and capability overlap) to ensure the experimentation layer scales as new promo types and channels are added.
- Identify opportunities to integrate existing experimentation capabilities and future evolution into the broader MarTech and data platform stack, reducing friction and improving speed.
- Drive adoption and usage of current and emerging experimentation capabilities across the organization, establishing a culture of data-driven testing and decision-making.
- Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Company.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of product management or product strategy experience, ideally in a platform or infrastructure role.
- Proven experience shipping complex, cross-functional products that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Direct experience building product roadmaps for experimentation platforms is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with platforms that depend on robust data infrastructure, feature stores, measurement systems, and reporting frameworks is required (examples include CDPs, marketing automation, and similar data-driven platforms).
- Knowledge of experimentation best practices and strong quantitative fluency.
- Comfort defining metrics, interpreting statistical analysis, and pushing back on flawed experiment designs.
- Strong business acumen, including the ability to craft business cases, prioritize tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders in regulated or high-stakes consumer environments such as gaming, fintech, or healthcare.
- Demonstrated excellence in cross-functional collaboration, including building trust and alignment across teams with competing priorities.
- Ability to influence without authority across senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Experience working with Data Science on applied ML and predictive models in production.
- Technical depth is not required, but fluency in experimentation and data fundamentals is preferred.
- Experience in marketing technology, loyalty/rewards, promotions, or lifecycle marketing platforms is a plus.
- A can-do attitude with bias toward action, including persistence in reaching stakeholders and maintaining momentum.
