UX Research Operations Program Manager
Job Description
This onsite role in Foster City, CA offers a salary range of USD 123,000 - 147,000 per year and requires at least 4 years of program management or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain UX Research operations infrastructure, including core systems, workflows, dashboards, documentation, and playbooks; identify gaps in study intake, recruitment, data handling, feedback triage, and insight activation; implement repeatable processes to accelerate research while reducing friction.
- Lead cross functional programs by coordinating with Research, Product, Design, Legal, Ops, IT, BizApps, Data, Support, and external vendors; align stakeholders, allocate resources, communicate process changes, manage ownership transitions, and mitigate operational risk.
- Oversee participant recruitment and panel operations across internal and external pools; manage research vendors, recruitment platforms, field partners, participant databases, scheduling workflows, and self service recruiting; improve speed, quality, reliability, and compliance while ensuring access to appropriate participants.
- Design and operate systems that convert customer feedback and research findings into visible, actionable product signals; support feedback pipelines, dashboards, tagging taxonomies, AI enabled classification, research repositories, and insight tracking workflows; ensure insights drive owners, decisions, and follow up actions.
- Manage research data governance and compliance workflows for PII, restricted data, consent artifacts, NDAs, access control, and data retention; collaborate with Legal, Privacy, IT, Security, BizApps, and stakeholders to ensure responsible data handling and clear documentation of ownership and handoffs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in program management, research operations, UX operations, product operations, technical program management, or related field.
- Experience directing cross functional programs across research, product, data, legal, operations, IT, or external vendors.
- Working knowledge of UX Research workflows, including participant recruitment, study operations, data handling, and insight delivery.
- Proven ability to build scalable processes, tools, dashboards, documentation, or operational systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Judgment in handling sensitive data, participant information, privacy, and compliance related workflows.
