Wealth Manager - Vice President - Product Manager - Wealth Plan Planning Engine
Job Description
JPMorgan Chase offers a compelling total rewards package for an on-site role in New York, NY. The position provides a base salary in the range of USD 122,550 to 201,000 per year, along with commission-based pay, discretionary incentive compensation, and forfeitable equity. Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Wealth Plan Planning Engine algorithm and logic to support current requirements and shape the future product roadmap
- Validate, identify issues, and debug outputs from the Planning Engine to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with Product and Technology partners on pending enhancements, ensuring precise implementation
- Improve and expand documentation of algorithms and processes to codify institutional knowledge
- Build expertise across core wealth planning domains including retirement, education funding, debt management, insurance, tax, and estate planning
- Design and prototype Excel-based wireframe analytics as proofs of concept for evolving Planning Engine features and cross-LoB tools and calculators
- Develop data-driven approaches to goals-based advice that align client and advisor experiences for superior outcomes
- Apply AI-assisted tools for data exploration to support faster, evidence-based product decisions
- Define product requirements for LLM- and agentic AI-enabled planning workflows, including multi-step task design, tool and use-case selection, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
- Use AI to translate qualitative research into structured themes, opportunities, and prioritization inputs guiding the Planning Engine roadmap
- Prototype planning concepts, user flows, and lightweight wireframes with AI to validate ideas and accelerate iteration before engineering resources are committed
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent
- Solid product perspective on AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and agentic AI patterns, with the ability to translate capabilities and constraints into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial and wealth projections, decision-making, and optimization techniques
- Proven experience building Excel-based calculators and models, including VBA, macros, and add-ins
- Solid grasp of or ability to quickly develop expertise in financial, retirement, charitable, tax, and estate planning strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset focused on efficiency and process improvement
- Intellectual curiosity with the ability to credibly engage team members and stakeholders
- CFP or CFA certification highly preferred
