Product Manager - Ecosystems

HP is seeking a Product Manager to lead peripheral strategy across extended ecosystems, including HyperX alongside console platforms such as Xbox and Sony, for Instant Pair. This role focuses on shaping the product definition, end-to-end pairing experience, and roadmap execution from notebook compatibility through expansion across multiple platforms.

Role Focus

Own Instant Pair as a cross-platform connectivity standard rather than a single integration. Define what Instant Pair is, what it is not, who it serves, and how “great” should look across device categories. Establish the north star vision for Instant Pair and translate it into clear product behaviors and measurable roadmap priorities.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the product definition for Instant Pair, including scope, target users, and success criteria across device categories.
• Set the north star vision for Instant Pair as a cross-platform connectivity standard, with emphasis on category-level direction.
• Partner with UX, Software, Engineering, and Design to define end-to-end behaviors for pairing flow, re-pairing and recovery, multi-device handling, and in-app (NGENUITY) status and controls.
• Own the Instant Pair experience definition and prioritization within the current notebook ecosystem, collaborating with the notebook/desktop/software team on compatibility, firmware needs, and sequencing.
• Shape the depth of HyperX product experiences within each console ecosystem by working with HyperX’s platform alliance owners.
• Define appropriate feature depth and product experience by platform (Xbox, PlayStation, and additional platforms), beyond simply confirming Instant Pair presence.
• Bring the peripheral product perspective into how ecosystem relationships translate into concrete product decisions and roadmap plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally spanning hardware and connected or companion software.
• Experience owning a product or feature that spans multiple host platforms or ecosystems, not limited to a single device line.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguity, building structure while defining a category as well as managing a product.
• Experience working with or alongside platform alliance or BD teams (console, OEM, or similar) is a strong plus.
• Proven partnership with UX and Design to deliver end-to-end experience outcomes, not only specification-level work.
• RF, wireless connectivity, or peripheral hardware background is a plus but not required.
• Strong cross-functional influence: drive results across two product orgs and external partners without direct authority over most stakeholders.

Compensation

USD 105,050 - 161,800 per yearly.
