Job Description

The AI Product Manager will help build and scale AI-powered parts experiences for Parts AI across Shop.Deere.com, Deere.com, and the Unified Parts Experience. The role owns the full product lifecycle from discovery through adoption, while driving measurable customer, dealer, and business outcomes. You will also coordinate reuse of AI capabilities across platforms and support internal transformation for A&CS employees through high-impact AI opportunities.

What you will own

  • Parts AI product and outcomes, including defining the AI agents required, the value proposition, objectives, roadmap, and measurable customer, dealer, and business results.
  • End-to-end delivery from discovery concepts to production readiness, including pilots, phased releases, monitoring, issue prioritization, and continuous improvement.
  • AI quality and trust by establishing evaluation criteria for accuracy, relevance, task completion, safety, and user trust, then using findings to drive improvements.
  • Adoption and business impact by partnering with product, marketing, dealer, regional, and support teams to embed capabilities in workflows and measure utilization and value.
  • Program metrics, agreeing measures and baselines with teams, reviewing project status, and assessing before-and-after results (Armaan Arora supports reporting).
  • Decision-making with evidence, reviewing results with team leads to inform continuation, adaptation, or stopping, with leadership sponsor approval for the next phase.

How you will work day to day

  • Lead a dedicated development team by providing day-to-day product direction, prioritizing the backlog, making scope tradeoffs, removing ambiguity, and moving capabilities from discovery through production.
  • Run customer and dealer discovery to identify high-value workflows, test concepts, and validate that AI solves meaningful problems.
  • Translate needs into buildable work in partnership with UX, Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Content, including journeys, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data needs, guardrails, and release decisions.
  • Coordinate across DEC to enable shared skills, tools, data sources, and interaction patterns so each platform can consume common Parts AI capabilities without duplicating development.
  • Prioritize AI initiatives based on business value, demand, and team support capacity.
  • Share company and industry AI insights to encourage reuse and reduce duplication.
  • Provide agent-building guidance, including instructions, templates, and reusable patterns for designing, testing, and deploying AI agents.
  • Coach teams through use-case testing, alongside AI Champions, and support reviews of results prior to expansion.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering complex digital products with a cross-functional development team.
  • Experience owning discovery, roadmap, backlog, requirements, release decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to translate customer, dealer, and business needs into scalable product capabilities.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled experiences, workflow design, product evaluation, and data dependencies.
  • Strong partnership skills across Engineering, UX, Architecture, Data, Content, Marketing, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance speed, quality, responsible AI, technical constraints, and user value.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
  • An advanced degree is preferred (or equivalent related work experience).

Location and work arrangement

  • Primary location: Johnston, IA, United States (remote)
  • Preferred: onsite in Johnston, IA or Moline, IL
  • Remote candidates considered; monthly travel to the Moline or Johnston office would be required.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: USD 138,144 - 207,216 per year
  • Benefits: Savings & Retirement (401K and Defined Contribution), healthcare benefits with a generous company contribution in the Health Savings Account, adoption assistance, Employee Assistance Programs, tuition assistance, fitness subsidies and on-site gyms at specific Deere locations, charitable contribution match, Employee Purchase Plan and numerous discount programs, and vacation and holiday pay.
  • Flexible work arrangements and highly competitive base pay.

Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age or older. Visa sponsorship: not available for this position.
