Alternative Investments - Global Product Owner - Vice President
Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is hiring an Alternative Investments Global Product Owner, Vice President, onsite in New York, with a salary range of USD 122,550 to 201,000 per year, to lead strategy, design, and execution across GAIS capabilities for the Alternatives platform within Asset & Wealth Management.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision and strategy across GAIS, aligning client and advisor needs with multi-LOB objectives, mapping the current state, regional variations, and opportunities; establish end-state, operating model, and roadmap; evaluate build versus buy decisions on cost-benefit grounds.
- Establish and lead cross-LOB governance forums; perform market mapping and due diligence to inform structuring decisions; champion solutions and drive OKRs and KPIs to measure cross-LOB commercial impact; unify diverse groups to deliver scalable, innovative outcomes.
- Analyze client and advisor requirements and the competitive landscape, including vendor and fintech offerings, to inform capability development and strategic roadmaps.
- Planning and execution: manage annual and quarterly investment plans, track milestones, and report forecast variances with risk mitigation as needed; break down silos to align multiple teams behind a single solution.
- Lead and coach product managers, design, and technology teams across the full product lifecycle, including usage assessment, feedback collection, prioritization, and communicating enhancements.
- Deliver programs using agile methodologies, including backlog refinement, quarterly planning, sprint planning, and showcases.
- Market the product to key stakeholders, drive adoption, create learning and training materials, and leverage existing channels; serve as the primary contact for Fund Setup capabilities across Alternatives LOBs, Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation and governance, ensuring up-to-date feature requirements and development processes support ongoing product evolution and firmwide governance adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of experience in asset/wealth management, alternatives, product management, or related fields
- Deep understanding of alternative investment products, portfolio management, and fund-of-funds structures
- Proven track record leading product development initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and influence partners
- Ability to grasp complex concepts and explain them clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience collaborating with technology and data teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Knowledge of regulatory and risk considerations in portfolio management
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, CFA, CAIA)
- Experience with private markets, hedge funds, real assets, or other alternative investment strategies
- Familiarity with portfolio management platforms, data analytics, and digital client solutions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
