Job Description

Analytics Product Owner role in Atlanta, GA (hybrid) for InterContinental Hotels Group, with a yearly salary range of USD 106,000 - 125,000.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision and roadmap for data, analytics, and AI within IHG’s AI and BI Center of Enablement; translate business needs into actionable backlogs across the C4E portfolio.
  • Serve as the strategic owner for enterprise visualization platforms, focusing on Tableau Cloud; establish governance, site architecture, security models, user enablement, and scalable performance optimization.
  • Lead solution design and prototyping by analyzing data sources, metadata frameworks, and user requirements for reporting portals, conversational data interfaces, and self‑service BI tools.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of enablement products (Self‑Service Toolkit, Enterprise Reporting Portal, Conversational Data Intelligence) alongside solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services, BigQuery, and Dataplex (Knowledge Catalog).
  • Ensure architectural alignment by sustaining a thorough technical view of data products and metadata management, especially at interfaces with internal systems and business processes.
  • Collaborate with business partners as a trusted advisor to empower successful BI initiatives and AI experiments within governed environments.
  • Translate complex data, BI, and AI concepts into compelling business narratives; convert business requirements into clear technical specifications for engineering and enablement teams.
  • Develop and validate data quality test scripts, BI platform performance metrics, visualization accuracy scenarios, and user acceptance testing for the C4E product portfolio.
  • Create and prioritize features and user stories, communicating the vision and requirements for reporting portals, conversational data interfaces, platform governance, and AI enablement products to the development team.

Requirements

  • Advanced product ownership experience in data, BI, or AI contexts, with a solid grasp of modern data architectures, systems, and enablement frameworks.
  • Enterprise platform proficiency with Tableau Cloud, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and BigQuery; proven ability to govern, scale, and secure Tableau Cloud as an enterprise platform.
  • Expertise in SQL for complex data analysis and strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and metadata management/cataloging (Dataplex/Knowledge Catalog).
  • Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies, including Conversational Data Intelligence, Vertex AI, and Gemini Enterprise.
  • Ability to solve highly complex data and technical challenges and deliver scalable, cross‑functional solutions that enhance self‑service capabilities.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, translating technical information into business language and distilling business needs into technical requirements.
  • Collaborative leadership style, able to work with Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Platform Administrators to drive large cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile environments, ideally within SAFe frameworks.
  • Proven track record with cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
