Job Description

In JPMorgan Chase's Asset Management Private Equity Group, the Associate Product Owner leads the delivery of digital solutions and operating models that underpin investment diligence, portfolio monitoring, and reporting. You will partner with product managers, investment teams, operations, and technology to translate business needs into actionable product requirements and drive high-impact initiatives. This onsite role in New York offers a salary range of USD 104,500 to 160,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives, while co-managing complex product backlogs.
  • Support the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of PEG's technology platform.
  • Contribute to digital strategy engagements and prepare leadership updates.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of core product design by conducting product discoveries, establishing discovery frameworks, defining processes, and recruiting business users for interviews.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes and assess technical and business viability, ensuring alignment with firm-wide user experience standards across PEG products and geographies.
  • Automate recurring client deliverables such as monthly cash flow statements and quarterly valuation reconciliations.
  • Lead design thinking style engagements with internal product teams and Investment Management teams, exercising discretion in daily design operations.
  • Support vendor management and business resource group activities, including MSCI and Canoe.
  • Provide PMs with enhanced analytics on portfolio construction, performance, and liquidity by integrating internal PEG systems with vendor data networks.
  • Mentor junior product managers to develop minimum viable product backlogs and roadmaps.
  • Drive a transformation of product development and design processes toward human-centered interface design and Agile practices with active business-user engagement.
  • Lead design and execution of cloud-based architectures and full-stack development of solutions.
  • Participate in implementing and scaling digital cloud products.
  • Ensure quality assurance for developed products.
  • Define KPIs, North Star metrics, and change management plans to drive product adoption.
  • Support related product operations including vendor coordination.
  • Apply understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) within product initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in private equity, consulting, product management, or digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with workflow mapping, requirements gathering, and agile delivery practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
