Job Description

Join SKIMS in Austin, TX as an Assistant Store Leader (Product & Operations) on an onsite team. This role supports day-to-day store operations with a strong focus on product and inventory, visual merchandising, compliance, and associate training so the store can deliver consistent customer service and hit business goals. Pay is $34.00 per hour.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient functioning across the sales floor and stockroom.
  • Maintain a clean, organized stockroom, including shipment handling and accountability for meeting productivity goals.
  • Manage inventory levels, coordinate in-store replenishment, and protect size integrity on the sales floor.
  • Handle damages, donations, returns, and product issues to support accurate inventory records.
  • Communicate sell-through concerns with the Store Leader and adjust execution based on product demand.
  • Lead training and communication so store associates understand and implement operational and brand standards consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Support supply procurement, making sure correct supply levels are available and managing the budget accordingly.
  • Oversee the upkeep of in-store technology and share updates with the team.
  • Assist with creating and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed targets, supported by analysis of sales data and reports.
  • Own visual merchandising standards, keeping fixtures and displays appealing and organized.
  • Plan new launches and use business insight and customer feedback to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Update product displays and signage for new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal changes so customers can find what they need.
  • React quickly to sell-through trends with adjustments that help maximize results and productivity.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with replenishing merchandise as needed.
  • Share weekly and monthly product focuses and goals, providing clear actions for the team.
  • Communicate with partners to share assortment, allocation, and logistics feedback.
  • Serve as the in-store product expert, training Team Members on product knowledge, new launch information, and design inspiration.
  • Partner with the Store Leader to motivate the team and execute strategies that drive sales and customer satisfaction.

What you bring

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of store associates.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ownership of daily operations including inventory management, cash handling, and scheduling.
  • A strong foundation in customer service principles and the ability to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction by resolving issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle issues that arise in-store.
  • Effective communication skills for both customers and team members.
  • Understanding of sales techniques, with the ability to motivate the team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to stand and remain physically active, moving around the store and staying accessible to customers for the full scheduled shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for product, and lift, carry, and move items up to 40 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
