DC Product Owner

Capgemini is seeking an experienced DC Product Owner to lead the product vision, strategy, and delivery for Duck Creek Insurance Platform solutions. The role partners with insurance business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams to prioritize work, manage the roadmap, and support successful implementation for Duck Creek Policy Billing and Claims.

Role Overview

As the Product Owner, you will own the product roadmap for Duck Creek Policy Billing and Claims, translating business requirements into actionable backlog items and acceptance criteria. You will act as the primary liaison between business teams and Agile execution to ensure solutions align to Duck Creek product capabilities and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product roadmap for Duck Creek Policy Billing and Claims solutions
• Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from insurance stakeholders
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items
• Serve as the primary liaison between business teams and Agile delivery teams
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and product demonstrations
• Ensure alignment between Duck Creek product capabilities and business objectives
• Drive product releases through feature prioritization and go-to-market readiness activities
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business SMEs to deliver high-quality solutions
• Provide guidance on Duck Creek best practices and insurance industry standards
• Monitor product performance and recommend enhancements based on business feedback and analytics
• Support UAT activities and facilitate stakeholder signoffs

Requirements

• Strong experience with Duck Creek Policy Administration, Billing, and/or Claims
• Deep understanding of Property Casualty (PC) Insurance processes
• Experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, or Lead Business Analyst roles
• Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Proficiency in backlog management and requirement prioritization
• Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and insurance ecosystem applications

Preferred Skills

• Duck Creek certifications
• Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand (DCOD)
• Knowledge of Guidewire or other insurance core platforms
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, and Agile delivery tools

Qualifications

• 10 years of overall IT experience
• 5 years of Duck Creek implementation or product ownership experience
• Insurance domain expertise, preferably in PC Insurance
