Job Description

Owens Corning is building a stronger global digital customer portfolio and needs an IT Product Owner Lead to strengthen the voice of the customer across Roofing, Insulation, and Doors. This onsite role in Toledo, OH or Tampa, FL helps ensure digital transformation is guided by real business needs, delivered through effective portfolio execution, and supported by analytics, governance, and high collaboration across business, GIS teams, and third-party partners.

What you will do

Serve as the key link between customer needs and enterprise delivery. You will help customers scale their business and win in their market by bringing the customer voice into planning, prioritization, and execution across digital initiatives.

  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to stay aligned with functional objectives.
  • Understand company business direction and execute functional strategies that support and enhance business results, including awareness of project work and its implications.
  • Use customer-focused values and practices to create enterprise customer solutions.
  • Collaborate on customer engagement strategy, customer journey mapping, customer training, analytics, capacity planning, and project delivery.
  • Ensure successful implementation through requirements analysis: collect, analyze, and clearly document business requirements.
  • Support IT quality assurance by using a variety of tools and testing methods to help ensure solution quality.
  • Advance digital transformation by working with other functions to enable pull-through program products and services.
  • Integrate analytics to optimize cross-business collaboration and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor project vital signs to manage progress and delivery schedule, and identify, own, and prioritize tasks to meet milestones.
  • Evaluate product and initiative effectiveness with stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify areas of waste and ideate and execute aligned action plans to improve productivity.
  • Influence enterprise-wide adoption of best practices, analytics integration, and cross-business collaboration.
  • Contribute to the portfolio backlog, budgeting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Champion portfolio and project management, and support onboarding and training to strengthen software development and product-centric thinking.
  • Participate in special programs or projects that support long-term organizational goals, and in opportunities to improve effectiveness, value, and perception.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years working on information technology projects, with the ability to successfully lead projects and leaders across regions and third parties.
  • 5+ years working directly with business teams (marketing, sales, communications, and other business functions) to understand and translate business needs into technical implementation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques to inform product decisions.
  • Combination of application development, IT strategy, and relationship management experience to conceive and deliver solutions.
  • Working knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate and translate business requirements and technical solutions cross-functionally; build trust, connections, and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize, structure, and estimate work while remaining flexible as priorities change.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven thinking, attention to detail, and curiosity to find root causes through analysis and questioning.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with high accuracy.
  • Project planning and management skills, including identifying and assessing risk and negotiating priority with competing stakeholders.
  • Strong vendor management skills and ability to lead with and partner across teams and third parties.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required, up to 10%.
