Junior Product Manager
Job Description
Berkeley Research Group, LLC is hiring a Junior Product Manager to take ownership of a defined area of the product, set product priorities, and drive measurable impact through delivery. You will report into a Senior Product Manager and work closely with engineering, design, client teams, and leadership to improve product outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Own product execution for a defined product area by articulating direction and influencing cross-functional partners to align and deliver.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand multiple customer segments, validate solutions, and build products that scale.
- Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer impact, business goals, and market dynamics.
- Partner with engineering leads to ensure teams have clear stories, acceptance criteria, and aligned priorities.
- Facilitate agile execution by running sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Lead product launch operations for your area, including release planning, product documentation, communication, adoption, and iteration.
- Drive change management for product initiatives by planning, communicating, and supporting successful adoption and governance of new features.
- Define and track success metrics, using data and insights to guide decisions and evaluate tradeoffs.
- Operate with autonomy in ambiguous environments, using judgment, intuition, and feedback loops to drive results.
What you bring
- Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments, including a track record of driving meaningful growth for B2B products.
- Experience leading cross-functional sprint teams that include design, engineering, and QA.
- Understanding of the product lifecycle, including strategic visioning, discovery, and delivery.
- A strong customer-centric mindset, with the ability to turn customer insights into actionable features and enhancements.
- Demonstrated use of user insights, data, and analytics to inform product decisions and translate results into a roadmap.
- An instinct for building simple, intuitive user experiences that address complex problems.
- Experience owning and managing a product roadmap, iterating based on customer needs and business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
- 1-3 years total experience (product management experience is a plus, but not required).
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience managing cross-functional, technology-enabled initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with change management and system rollouts.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence, or similar.
- Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments and balance competing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior leaders.
