Lead Product Owner, Finance Applications

Harvey is hiring a Lead Product Owner for Finance Applications to help build the finance systems and workflows that support Harvey’s global scaling. This onsite role in New York, NY combines product ownership with finance systems architecture across NetSuite, Zip, Ramp, Brex, and Metronome, translating complex business needs into solutions that reduce manual work and improve accuracy.

Compensation for this full-time IT position is $175,000 - $225,500 USD, with equity and bonus included. You’ll also be eligible to participate in Harvey’s equity plan and benefits program.

What you’ll do

• Own one or more core finance business process areas (including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report) and the systems that support them.
• Run discovery with process owners, define target-state process and system design, and set a roadmap that ties delivery to measurable value and accuracy.
• Lead the hardest problems in your domain when there’s no established pattern to configure against.
• Maintain a holistic architecture strategy for finance applications, including system boundaries, data flows, and near-, mid-, and long-term needs.
• Coordinate integrations and handoffs with adjacent enterprise systems, including Workday and Salesforce.
• Identify manual work and eliminate it by replacing spreadsheets, manual data entry, and email-based approvals with configuration, automated workflows, and integrations.
• Evaluate new functionality across current and future tooling to determine best fit for Harvey.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize NetSuite, including owning spend and revenue system workflows that feed the ledger based on business process ownership.
• Own spend and revenue workflows across Zip intake and approvals, Ramp and Brex card programs and expenses, Metronome usage ingestion, and downstream invoicing logic, plus future advanced revenue recognition tooling.
• Identify, test, and implement practical AI and automation opportunities in a controlled manner, focusing on clear time savings and reduced manual output.
• Ensure quality across applications with a lightweight SDLC approach that balances accuracy and agility.
• Partner with leadership as a mentor and escalation point for peers across Finance and Business Technology on the portfolio’s most complex design questions.

What you bring

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a finance systems professional.
• 5+ years of direct NetSuite experience, including complex configuration depth supporting a global, multi-entity, multi-currency organization.
• Product owner or product manager experience in at least one core finance process area (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report), including discovery with process owners, target-state design, tradeoffs/workarounds, and roadmap ownership through delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across business and technology organizations.
• A demonstrated record of mentoring peers, setting technical standards, or being the expert others escalate to on hard problems.
• Ability to solve ambiguous, high-stakes process problems without an existing playbook, operating autonomously while knowing when to involve others for high-impact decisions.
• Deep understanding of leading and emerging trends in SaaS finance applications and architecture, including where automation and AI drive innovation.
• Experience applying change management, regression and UAT planning, segregation of duties, and regulatory requirements while improving efficiency.
