Job Description

Socure is seeking a Principal Product Operations Manager to serve as the centralized hub in a hybrid centralized and embedded Product Operations model. This role owns the systems, processes, and reporting that keep product strategy aligned with day-to-day execution across product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure the product management and roadmapping platform (such as Aha!, Productboard, or an equivalent), including workspaces, fields, workflows, scorecards, and permissions.
  • Own the integration between the product management platform and engineering work tracking (for example, Jira), handling field mapping, status synchronization, and data consistency.
  • Manage the broader product technology stack by evaluating new tools, preventing tool sprawl, and maintaining integrations across roadmap, delivery, feedback, and CRM systems.
  • Build and maintain the intake and prioritization workflows product teams use to submit, score, and rank requests.
  • Document system configuration and standard operating procedures to ensure knowledge remains distributed and not concentrated in one person.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide leadership and embedded product teams with reliable visibility into roadmap status, delivery progress, and portfolio health.
  • Define and track core product operations metrics (for example, cycle time, roadmap adherence, planning hygiene, and tool adoption).
  • Centralize Product Performance metric definitions and telemetry builds, ensuring availability to central data and BI teams, and coordinate dashboard and reporting builds with the Business Intelligence team.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales/RevOps, and Engineering to incorporate commercial and delivery data (such as CRM and ARR data) into product prioritization and reporting.
  • Support recurring reporting cadences including business reviews, quarterly and annual planning, and board updates using clean, trusted data.
  • Monitor data quality and establish hygiene standards across reporting systems.
  • Design repeatable processes for planning, prioritization, intake, and roadmap reviews so teams use consistent methods across pods.
  • Identify friction points and manual, duplicative work in the product development lifecycle, then address them through improved process, automation, or tooling.
  • Build templates, playbooks, and checklists (for example: feature intake, roadmap reviews, and launch readiness) to reduce administrative load for product managers.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for product managers and embedded product ops partners on shared tools and processes through training, office hours, and documentation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional handoffs between Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM so work moves smoothly.
  • Standardize processes across pods while maintaining flexibility where each team needs it.
  • Partner with product leadership to translate strategy and company priorities into a concrete, trackable roadmap and planning cadence.
  • Run the rhythm of planning through quarterly and annual planning cycles, roadmap reviews, and business reviews to keep execution aligned to strategy.
  • Monitor progress against strategic priorities and flag early if execution drifts from leadership intent.
  • Support trade-off and prioritization discussions when competing requests conflict with stated strategic priorities.
  • Ensure pod-level work maps to company-level strategic themes rather than staying local to individual teams.
  • Close the loop after major planning moments by ensuring decisions from reviews are reflected in the systems used day to day.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Product Operations, Business/Sales Operations, or a Product Analyst/Management role, ideally within a product or engineering organization.
  • Hands-on experience with a product roadmapping or PPM tool (Aha!, Productboard, Jira Product Discovery) and a work-tracking tool (Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps).
  • Comfort building dashboards and reports in the PPM tool itself, Tableau, Looker, or Google Sheets/Excel (SQL is a plus).
  • Use of LLM-based tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or similar) to optimize workflows, dashboards, and research.
  • Experience designing and documenting repeatable processes for intake, prioritization, and planning cadences.
  • Working knowledge of PDLC and SDLC processes including roadmaps, backlogs, sprints, and prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, WSJF), plus different launch and product profile types.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions where strategic priorities and day-to-day execution must be reconciled into decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to convert scattered information into actionable outputs.
  • Generalist capability across technical configuration, process design, and data and reporting work.
  • Bias toward noticing inefficiency and fixing it, even when it extends beyond the stated scope.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, with an emphasis on connecting central leadership and embedded product teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously on a small, fast-moving team with shifting priorities.

Technologies

  • Aha!, Productboard, Jira Product Discovery, Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps
  • Tableau, Looker, Google Sheets, Excel, SQL
  • Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, LLM-based tools
  • RICE, WSJF

Why This Role Matters

  • Product teams move faster and make better decisions when the systems, process, and data behind their work are trustworthy.
  • Without a dedicated owner, strategy and execution can drift apart, leaving teams busy but misaligned with what leadership needs.
  • In a centralized/embedded Product Ops model, the role acts as the connective tissue that helps pods trust roadmap data, ensures planning decisions show up in next-sprint delivery, and supports clear leadership visibility into where things stand.
  • As the organization grows, responsibilities can split into specialized tracks such as Systems and Tools, Process, and Data and Analytics, but currently this role covers all areas as one person.

Role Details

  • Location: Miami, FL (hybrid)
  • Salary: USD 215,000 to 260,000 per year
  • Minimum Experience: 10 years
