Job Description

Energetiq Technology Inc is seeking a Product Manager for Laser Driven Light Sources (LDLS) to shape the strategic direction, guide market research, and drive the development and launch of LDLS products and systems. This onsite role in Wilmington, MA requires close collaboration with Sales, engineering, and manufacturing to translate customer needs into commercially successful solutions while managing pricing and profitability.

The position combines market intelligence, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on product ownership to deliver compelling LDLS offerings while coordinating with global sales teams and distributors to meet business objectives.

USD 100,500 - 123,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to engage OEM customers, oversee specifications, handle customer-specific requests, reliability issues, and feedback.
  • Develop and drive the product strategy, including roadmaps and lifecycle management.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share.
  • Own product positioning, pricing, profitability, configuration control, and lifecycle oversight.
  • Lead market research efforts, monitor activity, and convert customer needs into actionable requirements.
  • Serve as the primary product spokesperson to Hamamatsu and distributor sales organizations, guiding strategy and execution to meet objectives.
  • Provide strategic, technical, and pricing input to support sales proposals.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies based on detailed cost models and margin targets.
  • Create Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and drive development within defined budgets and costs.
  • Support new product introductions by analyzing requirements, preparing ROI analyses, and coordinating schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Produce marketing and sales enablement materials, including presentations, datasheets, promotional content, and training materials.
  • Review and approve ECOs, ECRs, and Customer Special Requests to ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to support inventory planning, production scheduling, and product availability.
  • Work cross-functionally to establish pricing that satisfies customer needs while aligning with company objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and technical internal teams to document and translate requirements for stakeholders.
  • Lead proactively in resolving technical and business-related customer issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including trip reports, expense reports, and sales-related reports.
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions, presenting capabilities and proposals with credibility.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product and service offerings to deliver technically accurate solutions.
  • Participate in selected conferences and exhibitions to build brand awareness and strengthen relationships with targeted accounts and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles involving highly technical products, such as product management, sales, or product marketing.
  • OEM experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Semiconductor Capital Equipment or Critical Subsystems is a plus.
  • Proven success converting prospects into revenue through new products or new market opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Access databases preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience with ROI analysis and cost-of-ownership models.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
