Product Manager
Job Description
PPL Services Corporation seeks a Product Manager in Allentown, PA (hybrid) to drive product planning and marketing, capture and prioritize customer and business needs, define the product vision, and partner with engineering to deliver valuable digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise product vision and align your team to deliver high value business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain discovery and delivery backlogs and roadmaps. Continuously study the business, users, and customers to understand needs, pain points, and constraints; observe behaviors to uncover insights and opportunities.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative data to shape priorities and feature definitions. Mine multiple data sources to validate problems and opportunities, ensuring we solve the right problems that are worth solving.
- Collaborate with engineering and design during discovery to identify and validate solutions for prioritized problems and address risks to value, viability, feasibility, and usability up front.
- Serve as the Product Owner on Scrum delivery teams, working with engineering and design to resolve in-sprint issues and challenges.
- Directly supervise Product Analysts, including leadership development, coaching, and success.
- Drive enterprise level product success, ensuring user adoption and maximizing business value through collaboration with stakeholders and other technology and product teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the enterprise to align strategies, manage conflicts, and transparently prioritize needs and roadmaps.
- Partner with the product team and portfolio leader to define and align product team OKRs.
- Analyze technical, operational, and market factors for new product development and differentiation.
- Act as the voice of the product to senior management and stakeholders.
- Build deep domain expertise to identify opportunities to improve or expand digital capabilities aligned with strategic objectives.
- Identify emerging market and technology needs.
- May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role, which may require after-hours work during storms or outages affecting customer service.
- Employer reserves the right to determine on-site, remote, or hybrid work arrangements; remote work may still require in-person presence for coordination.
- Performs other duties as assigned and complies with company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of related work experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience with cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading product and or process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to balance short term needs with long term strategy.
- Ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong business and financial acumen to facilitate strategic planning, business reviews, and opportunity assessments.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence through data, insights, and storytelling.
