Product Manager
Job Description
Based on site in Austin, TX, SailPoint is seeking a Product Manager for Certification and Governance to shape a core component of the Identity Security Cloud. The role centers on applying AI to enhance access governance and user experience, with a salary range of USD 105,600 to 177,944 per year and a minimum of three years of product management experience. A BA/BS in business or a technical field is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a central part of SailPoint's identity security platform.
- Leverage AI to detect patterns and deliver actionable recommendations to administrators and reviewers to govern and secure access to critical applications.
- Drive strategic planning and market analysis to inform product direction.
- Collaborate with engineering on feature specifications and technical requirements.
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating needs into concrete product requirements.
- Define and implement a product vision that uses AI to improve the user experience.
- Serve as the product expert, articulating value to internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in a product management role.
- Proven track record partnering with engineering to scope, build, refine, and launch enterprise software products.
- Experience managing SaaS or cloud infrastructure products.
- Experience in the identity security field is highly desirable.
- Experience leveraging AI tooling to boost individual and team productivity.
- Experience delivering AI-powered features that enhance customer experience.
- Familiarity with open platform connectivity technologies, including web and microservices, is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.

Roadmap for Success
- Actively familiarize yourself with the Certification roadmap.
- Establish early relationships with engineering leads, fellow product managers, and marketing counterparts to understand roles and foster collaboration.
- Provide a summary of initial findings and a learning plan to your manager.
- Own the product backlog and prioritize features based on customer feedback and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to refine requirements for the next release and finalize sprint planning.
- Define and present success metrics for an upcoming feature launch.
- Lead a feature end-to-end from concept to launch, managing the full development lifecycle.
- Conduct the first customer feedback session to gather insights for future iterations.
- Deliver a 12-month product roadmap outlining key initiatives and their expected impact.
- Propose and lead a strategic initiative to improve the product, such as a new integration or a major UX overhaul.
- Mentor a junior member of the product team, sharing knowledge and guidance.
Travel
Approximately 15 percent travel is required.
