Product Manager
Job Description
Lead AI-powered SaaS product strategy and delivery for veritone in Irvine, CA (onsite), owning the product lifecycle from market and customer insight through execution.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ongoing backlog grooming and prioritization to support on-time delivery against organizational commitments.
- Draft technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; partner closely with engineering to refine and validate requirements.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to assess engineering effort vs. business value and make product and feature tradeoffs.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; work with Scrum Masters and technical leads to remove blockers and keep delivery moving.
- Ensure technical design reviews, UX outlines, and product documentation align with core product requirements and vision.
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members daily to keep work on track.
- Collect and synthesize feedback from internal users and external stakeholders.
- Partner with UX teams to produce low-fidelity wireframes, workflow diagrams, and flowcharts for complex requirements.
- Support sales with product demos and customer-facing opportunities.
- Partner with marketing on external Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and related materials.
- Organize, curate, and distribute release notes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations around bug prioritization, feature requests, and delivery timelines.
- Help leadership draft product collateral and executive updates.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of professional product management experience.
- Proven record of building and shipping technical software products.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing Go-To-Market (GTM) plans for new products or feature launches.
- Experience in one or more domains: Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML).
- Ability to understand developer needs (internal and external) and translate them into clear documentation, diagrams, PRDs, and user stories.
- Skilled in using quantitative and qualitative data to guide feature decisions.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation disclosure (Colorado & California only): The annual salary range listed for the position is $150,000.00-$175,000.00. This base pay is for illustrative purposes only and will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements. This position may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits including incentive compensation, health benefits, retirement benefits, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and other employee perks and benefits.
