Job Description

Campfire is seeking a Revenue Product Manager to lead the revenue module strategy, roadmap, and execution, with end-to-end ownership spanning invoicing, billing, revenue accounting, and the reporting workflows that support them. The role connects revenue accounting requirements to product experiences and works closely with engineering and design to deliver improvements quickly.

What you will do

  • Engage with customers to understand how their finance organizations run invoicing and billing, manage deferred revenue, handle contract modifications, and complete month-end close.
  • Own the roadmap for Campfire’s revenue module, including invoicing, billing, revenue recognition aligned with ASC 606 / IFRS 15, revenue reporting, and automated accounting workflows such as journal entry generation.
  • Translate complex revenue accounting needs into clear, user-friendly product experiences for finance and accounting teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to ship product improvements quickly, moving from idea to production in days rather than months.
  • Define and monitor metrics including time-to-close, recognition accuracy, billing cycle efficiency, and customer adoption.
  • Track changes in accounting standards and ensure the product remains aligned with compliance requirements.
  • Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy, pricing, and positioning for the revenue module.

What you bring

  • 4+ years of deep revenue expertise, such as experience from Big 4, revenue accountant roles, or similar, with coverage across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Revenue accounting depth is the most important qualification, with product management experience considered a bonus.
  • Practical understanding of the gap between what ASC 606 / IFRS 15 require on paper and how revenue accounting is performed day-to-day, along with a point of view on how software can bridge that difference.
  • Fluency in the five steps to revenue recognition, deferred revenue, multi-element arrangements, and contract modifications, with the ability to discuss these topics confidently with roles such as a Controller or CAO.
  • Experience shipping complex, customer-facing financial products that combine technical rigor with strong simplicity.
  • A bias toward action, including the ability to reduce scope to deliver high-value outcomes quickly and iterate afterward.
  • Comfort owning outcomes rather than only deliverables, with minimal oversight.
  • The ability to translate across technical, design, and business teams.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and converting it into clarity and momentum.
  • Bonus: experience at an ERP, billing platform, or revenue recognition software company (examples include NetSuite, Zuora, Maxio, Stripe Billing).

Technologies

  • ASC 606
  • IFRS 15
  • Journal entry generation

Location and compensation

  • Location: New York, NY (onsite)
  • Salary range: USD 160,000 - 230,000 per year
