This Product Manager role at Mueller Water Products focuses on the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of engineered water infrastructure products. The role owns the product roadmap and collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and customers. The position is onsite in Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle from requirements through development, launch, pricing, and post-launch performance monitoring
- Drive new product development from the voice of the customer to production readiness
- Translate customer and field inputs into precise product specifications
- Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to define and refine product solutions
- Perform market, competitive, and pricing analyses to inform product positioning
- Partner across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales to align on deliverables
- Assist in creating product documentation, technical materials, and go-to-market activities
- Direct engagement with customers, distributors, and field stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on product management experience
- Proven track record managing physical or engineered products, not digital-only or marketing roles
- Demonstrated ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle from requirements through launch
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting such as infrastructure, water, utilities, industrial equipment, HVAC, construction, or similar
- Hands-on collaboration with R&D and Engineering teams
- Strong experience with customer engagement (VOC), market analysis, and product definition
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field
