Product Manager - Resource Platform
Job Description
The Product Manager serves as the client’s voice by shaping and prioritizing the product backlog to drive maximum business value. This role converts client needs into actionable requirements and partners closely with development to align functional results with technical feasibility while supporting predictable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct external and internal discovery to identify client needs, market opportunities, and business priorities, incorporating technical constraints, platform standards, and architectural considerations into product direction.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Product leadership to maintain strategic alignment, obtain sign-off on key business decisions, and balance functional and technical tradeoffs.
- Work with the Product Director to refine scope, sequencing, and roadmap decisions, ensuring delivery plans support business outcomes and remain technically feasible.
- Define product outcomes (OKRs) and represent the client’s voice by communicating roadmap progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Estimate effort required for requests and allocate capacity accordingly.
- Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to define business and functional requirements and gather necessary inputs.
- Define user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog to support sprint goals.
- Ensure product strategy, requirements, and priorities are understood and communicated to development teams, including through intake processes.
- Understand and help coordinate intra-team and external dependencies as applicable.
- Collect, track, and report KPI data to support Product Group OKRs and monitor performance metrics such as efficiency and quality.
- Represent the development team for core delivery and non-functional requirements, including technical initiatives such as maintenance, support, and technical debt.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and evaluation meetings, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to or author IT and product documentation as needed.
- Maintain a holistic understanding of business processes and internal system configurations impacting the product, and evaluate technical implications of proposed changes.
- Assess business process changes and system impacts to ensure features can be implemented effectively and sustainably.
- Act as a primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of requirements, risks, assumptions, and delivery decisions.
- Provide product expertise and consultation for release readiness, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Licenses as needed.
- Eight (8) years of experience in product strategy, product management, or requirements intake roles.
- Experience with agile development is strongly preferred, including knowledge of agile methodologies and tools.
- Experience writing and managing user stories.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with technical and non-technical partners.
- Business and technology acumen, including understanding customer needs, technical concepts, and business strategy.
- Effective communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation formats for diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, assess tradeoffs, and support decision-making.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and deliver reliably.
- Leadership and influence skills, including people management and negotiation.
- Professional execution and accountability, including quality written outputs, effective teamwork, and meeting or exceeding performance expectations.

Location: Tennessee (onsite). Travel: Travel as required.
