Product Manager II, Security & Privacy, Google Cloud
Job Description
Build and scale Google Cloud security and privacy products by connecting technical work with business outcomes. This Product Manager II role partners across teams to shape product design and development, operationalize strategy into a roadmap, and lead launches from planning through retirement. The position is based in Cambridge, MA (onsite) and supports a clear product narrative for offerings that matter to customers.
Compensation: USD 163,000 to 236,000 per year. Bonus: 15% target, with equity and benefits.
What you’ll do
- Partner with teams such as engineers, PgMs, and UX during product design and development to translate PRD requirements into OKRs for one or more teams.
- Define product roadmaps by operationalizing product strategy.
- Develop and secure buy-in for a product vision that sets the direction and narrative, driving an outcome greater than the sum of its parts.
- Validate market size and opportunity using signals such as user-based insights, strategic opportunity, and revenue potential.
- Drive launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 2 years taking technical products from conception to launch (for example, ideation to execution and end-to-end, including 0 to 1).
- 2 years developing or launching products or technologies in security, privacy, or a related area.
- 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- 2 years working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
- 3 years preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 3 years experience in a business function or role (such as strategic marketing, business operations, or consulting).
- Master’s degree in a technology or business related field.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience).
