Job Description

The Product Operations Lead is a key member of the store leadership team, focused on executing the store product strategy through inventory operations, product readiness, and consistent in-store execution. This role supports both back-of-house product processes and on-floor availability to help deliver a strong guest experience.

Location & Job Type

  • Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)
  • Employment type: contract

Compensation

  • Base pay range: USD 24.50 - 28.25 per hour (subject to minimum wage in the location)
  • Target bonus: USD 2.00 per hour
  • Total target base pay range: USD 26.50 - 30.25 per hour

Compensation in this position is grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy and may vary based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Employees in this role may be eligible for a competitive bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with store leadership to bring product strategy to life
  • Plan, prioritize, manage, and lead inventory processing and accuracy activities in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure execution of product actions such as pull backs, consolidations, and repricing
  • Create a fun and productive atmosphere during inventory shifts and engage team members in inventory management
  • Monitor product levels and communicate findings to support sell-through strategy and optimal product availability for guests
  • Review and interpret daily business data and metrics, including analyzing product sell-through to recommend product focus to store leadership and, for outlets, pricing considerations
  • Support hiring processes, including recruitment, selection, hiring recommendations, onboarding, and training
  • Address performance, provide direct feedback, recognition, coaching, demonstrations, and hands-on support to support learning and development
  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by establishing supportive working relationships
  • When scheduled as Supervisor on Duty during store open hours, move dynamically and lead from the floor to provide technical product education and maintain a world-class guest experience

Experience

  • Minimum experience: 1 year of work experience
  • Some experience with inventory management, product or visual merchandising, stocking, or planning and logistics, including using business technology to complete work
  • Some experience leading, mentoring, delegating, or implementing processes with others

Schedule & Availability

  • The schedule can vary based on store needs
  • Shifts are typically scheduled for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • During peak timeframes, special events, or other circumstances, some team members may work early mornings or late nights/overnights

Work Context

  • Moving through the store, including front of house (bright lights and loud music) and back of house (no windows or natural light)
  • Working as part of a team, sometimes independently, and using a computer or other technical devices
  • Occasional lifting or moving of boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) and occasional use of ladders to reach materials
  • For experiential stores with food/beverage service only: possible exposure to heat and use of industrial kitchen equipment to prepare food or beverages

Job Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Education: High school diploma/GED/equivalent, or above
  • Related experience: Retail, sales, distribution center, or warehouse operations; experience reviewing and interpreting business reports and metrics to inform action
  • For experiential stores with food/beverage service only: Food safety and/or liquor service certification
