Job Description

Edward Jones is seeking a Product Operations Manager to join the Tempe, AZ onsite team. This role acts as an operational, financial, and data partner to portfolio and product leadership, driving execution excellence through disciplined processes, governance, and actionable insights. The focus areas include end-to-end portfolio operations, data-driven decision support, and enabling operational readiness across portfolios and programs. The position offers an annual salary range of USD 86,300 to 146,700.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted operational, financial, and data partner to portfolio and product leadership, promoting execution excellence through disciplined processes, sound financial stewardship, and actionable insights.
  • Own and optimize end-to-end portfolio operations, covering funding, invoicing, resource management, and governance; ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency across firm-approved tools.
  • Oversee portfolio resource and financial operations by maintaining accurate staff rosters, headcount forecasts, budgets, and total cost of ownership views; conduct monthly variance analysis and clearly communicate drivers and insights to leadership.
  • Establish, document, and scale best practices for operational workflows, data quality, metrics, reporting, and communications to drive consistent execution and continuous improvement across products and programs.
  • Champion portfolio data and insights by partnering with data owners and planning colleagues to define key metrics, maintain critical datasets, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, and storytelling.
  • Deliver regular portfolio-level operational reviews that highlight trends, risks, opportunities, and execution impact to support informed decision-making.
  • Foster strong cross-product, portfolio, program, and stakeholder engagement through clear communications, alignment forums, and structured feedback loops.
  • Collaborate with product and delivery leaders to enable operational readiness, including onboarding new team members, activating tools and access, and supporting effective operating rhythms to accelerate productivity.
  • Support planning and intake processes to ensure new work is evaluated, prioritized, and accurately reflected in portfolio plans, forecasts, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product management, project/program/portfolio operations, or operational financial management within technology or operational teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in project, program, financial, or portfolio operations management supporting multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, invoices, and variance analysis; ability to identify drivers of variances and implement solutions to reduce variances at the project and enterprise levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate data across multiple tools and minimize execution exceptions.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments, partnering with product, technology, finance, and third-party vendors to drive results.
  • Solid data-driven problem-solving abilities, including trend identification, insight generation, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple priorities, adapt to shifting needs, and ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced setting.
