Product Operations Manager - PICO Store
Job Description
At ByteDance, the PICO Store team is looking for a Product Operations Manager to own the distribution and traffic strategy for Entertainment content across the PICO ecosystem. This role collaborates with Product, Data, Business Development and Developer teams to optimize how content is discovered, engaged with, and distributed on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Own content distribution for the PICO Store by defining and executing the apps and content traffic strategy across all PICO ecosystem channels (Feed, Store, Browser, Push, and more). This includes optimizing homepage layouts and featured sections, improving discoverability, and expanding reach in both China and global markets using data-driven insights. Refine store displays based on user behavior and platform goals.
- Design and launch campaigns to boost user engagement and retention, including online multiplayer events, limited-time challenges, and user-generated content programs. Support Discord initiatives with community challenges and social events to cultivate an active developer-user ecosystem. Leverage social features to enhance interaction and platform stickiness.
- Partner with Product teams to propose and test new store features or tools. Align with Content and Developer teams on distribution and promotion of new apps. Collaborate with Data teams to support analytics frameworks, dashboards, and experimentation pipelines.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration by working with Product, Content Operations, Developer Operations, Legal and Data teams to ensure effective execution of platform initiatives and new feature rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in App Store Operations, Advertising Traffic Strategy, Organic Traffic Strategies, Content Operations, or related roles within technology or media industries
- Proven track record in traffic distribution strategy, placement management, A/B testing, and analyzing user behavior to deliver measurable operational improvements
- Experience managing the full content lifecycle for games, apps, or video platforms—from developer onboarding and global launches to post-release updates and long-term retention. This includes strategic curation, metadata and creative asset optimization for discoverability, and title-specific campaigns to drive sustained engagement
- Strong global project management and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with EMEA and APAC teams in fast-paced environments

Pay Transparency
Base salary range for this position is $93,600 - $220,400 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Base pay may be complemented by additional discretionary bonuses or incentives and restricted stock units.
