Product Operations Senior Lead Product Manager

The Senior Lead Product Manager, Product Operations role at Cox Automotive is an onsite position based in Austin, TX. The role focuses on maturing product management standards, advancing AI first product management practices, and providing enterprise stewardship across Cox Automotive.

Responsibilities

• Advance product management maturity by implementing processes that raise the consistency, skills, and discipline across Cox Automotive. Own and evolve the enterprise discipline framework, including standards for discovery, specification, delivery, and post-launch measurement.
• Champion AI first product management across CAPTG by integrating AI tools such as Claude and Pendo AI into discovery, research synthesis, specification writing, and launch readiness. Create reusable playbooks, prompts, and agents, and act as an internal subject matter expert and evangelist for applied AI in product management.
• Promote enterprise stewardship by partnering with Product Management, Product Readiness teams, and other groups within the Product COE and CAPTG to coordinate efforts and raise awareness for Product Operations initiatives. Drive behavioral change through knowledge sharing and curated resources that encourage buy-in and adoption.

Requirements

• Lead the adoption of AI first approaches to product management, with working knowledge of large language models (Claude preferred), prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
• Provide excellent service to internal clients and stakeholders, always seeking incremental value.
• Think critically about how tools, processes, and standards can be integrated to create compounding value across the organization.
• Teach others and communicate best practices in a compelling way to drive buy-in and adoption.
• Self motivated and capable of independently driving initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Think and operate across diverse teams with macro and enterprise level thinking.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortably engage with senior leadership.
• Education: PhD required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant product management experience.
