Job Description

Urban Science Applications, Inc. is building Media Performance products and solutions that scale with real-world operational demands. In this hybrid role based in Detroit, you will help deliver reliable product activation and execution support by coordinating operational tasks across internal teams and external partners.

The Product Operations Specialist supports sales fulfillment, product setup and implementation, vendor coordination, operational communications, quality control, and delivery support for new and evolving processes as product and operational needs grow.

What you’ll do

  • Execute product activation and implementation requests using operational systems and tools, supporting audience onboarding and distribution, campaign and measurement setup, and insertion order fulfillment.
  • Meet service levels and delivery commitments with ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, agencies, and OEMs.
  • Support new client activations and provide ongoing support and maintenance for active programs to maintain consistent delivery and operational coverage.
  • Coordinate operational tasks across internal teams and external partners, keeping activations, timelines, and status updates clear and on track.
  • Act as an operational point of contact for account teams, product managers, and clients on implementation, scheduling, monitoring, and execution activities.
  • Troubleshoot operational and delivery issues, escalating risks and constraints to the Global Practice Director as appropriate.
  • Monitor operational performance, productivity, and quality against established goals and KPIs, diagnosing issues and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver operational reports, project deliverables, and status updates in alignment with client and internal deadlines.
  • Identify and document process improvements and operational efficiencies in collaboration with the Product Operations Manager.
  • Support billing and invoicing by providing accurate operational data and coordinating with finance teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and subcontractors on onboarding and execution activities required for active solutions.
  • Maintain and contribute to operational documentation, including client setup guides, sales training materials, and communication templates.
  • Build strong relationships across teams and offices to support collaboration, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and present operational updates, reviews, and process improvements to internal stakeholders, leaders, and, when appropriate, external clients.
  • Work with the manager on annual goal setting, performance reviews, and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned based on operational priorities.

  • Basic descriptive statistics knowledge is strongly preferred, including ability to collect, analyze, understand, and interpret statistical analyses.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with demand side or supply side activation workflows and concepts such as APIs, data clean rooms, data sharing and collaboration, and identity concepts is a plus.
  • Prior experience in fast-paced or agile operational environments is preferred; automotive industry exposure is a plus but not required.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in digital advertising operations, media or campaign implementation, marketing or advertising technology, analytics, or data distribution implementation (motivated candidates with strong aptitude and willingness to learn will also be considered).

Workplace flexibility

  • Hybrid workplace flexibility local to the Detroit, MI office.
  • In-person work required two days per week (Wednesday & Friday).

Environment

  • May require additional hours beyond a traditional 40-hour workweek.
  • Some travel may be required.
