Job Description

Onsite contract opportunity in Bloomington, IL offering USD 90 per hour. You will guide product decisions in the personal lines insurance domain, leveraging Guidewire, Java, Dynatrace, Splunk, and ServiceNow dashboards to drive KPI-driven outcomes, incident management, and API-enabled integration.

What you’ll do

  • Own the product approach for personal lines, with deep knowledge of policy lifecycle, underwriting, and rating, anchored by Guidewire.
  • Align REST API and Java/Angular application flows to deliver cohesive user experiences.
  • Leverage Dynatrace, ServiceNow, and Splunk to monitor systems, analyze logs, and build dashboards that inform decisions.
  • Manage production incidents and workflows through ServiceNow to maintain smooth operations.
  • Adopt a data-driven mindset focused on KPIs, performance, and user experience.
  • Apply Agile product ownership practices: backlog prioritization, user stories, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Work with API testing tools such as Postman and understand JSON/XML payloads.
  • Navigate CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategy to support delivery.
  • Maintain strong integration awareness with third-party services, robust error handling, and data mapping.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and balance business value against technical debt.

Requirements

  • Product owner experience with Guidewire, Java, Dynatrace, Splunk, and ServiceNow for dashboard creation.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and Java/Angular application flow.
  • Proven work experience using Dynatrace, ServiceNow, and Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, and dashboard development.
  • Experience managing production incidents and workflows via ServiceNow.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on KPIs, performance, and user experience.
  • Agile product ownership expertise: backlog prioritization, user stories, stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman) and familiarity with JSON/XML payloads.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategy.
  • Strong integration awareness (third-party services, error handling, data mapping).
  • Ability to drive RCA and balance business value with technical debt.
  • Strong understanding of personal lines insurance, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, and rating, with Guidewire.
