Job Description
This remote, hourly Product Owner role at eMoney Advisor focuses on owning the backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories, guiding development from concept to release, and aligning work with strategic business goals. Compensation is USD 94 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Take sole ownership of the backlog for the designated domain, crafting precise user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and guiding prioritization in partnership with leadership.
- Own release execution end to end, coordinating the release process, resolving dependencies, mitigating risks, and delivering smooth releases across the organization.
- Maintain awareness of the domain's scope and its effects on adjacent product areas.
- Analyze, process, and manage sizeable financial datasets and related products.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with data providers and external partners.
- Contribute to solutioning efforts to address priority problems within the ownership area by collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape clear epics.
- Support the team roadmap, maintain alignment with the broader product strategy, prioritize features, establish timelines, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Help establish KPIs to gauge product success and user engagement.
- Assess market and competitor insights to identify trends and potential opportunities.
- Participate in user research, analyze feedback, and validate new features or concepts with end users to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Support customer engagement by joining meetings, documenting notes, and assisting with follow up actions while learning effective methods to gather customer feedback.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- At least three years of experience across business analysis, product management, project management, and software development.
- Collaborative team player able to adapt to shifting priorities and objectives.
- Proven track record in backlog management and writing precise, actionable user stories.
- Experience with agile processes and the software development lifecycle.
- Fundamental knowledge of market research, user research, and gathering customer feedback.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across design and engineering.
- Two years of experience in the financial industry.
