Job Description

iSpeedToLead builds a fast, execution-focused product culture with remote-first flexibility and async-friendly communication. You’ll have direct influence over how quickly the team turns the highest-value decisions into shipped outcomes, backed by competitive compensation, real ownership of delivery performance, and an environment that leans AI-first with advanced automation.

Location: Texas (remote)
Experience: 2+ years

What you’ll do

  • Execute the most valuable product decisions efficiently: ship quickly and deliver in the right order.
  • Own the delivery “how and when,” translating product direction into buildable increments with speed, clarity, and high delivery quality.
  • Partner closely with a Product Manager who owns direction (what and why) while you own the delivery flow, backlog quality, and release readiness.
  • Turn product briefs into shippable increments. Treat a 3-week ticket as a planning failure and take ownership to fix the way work is decomposed.
  • Own the backlog end-to-end before engineers touch anything: acceptance criteria, edge cases, and a clear definition of done.
  • Balance each increment against cost: compare engineering effort to expected value and cost of delay.
  • Prioritize using a visible score supported by numbers, not gut feel or preference.
  • Run outward communication so founders, sales, and support always know what’s shipping, what’s next, and what changed, without interruptions to the team.
  • Keep the team unblocked and manage delivery numbers (cycle time, predictability, carryover, QA flow) to surface issues early.
  • Push back when a brief is not buildable and help shape what can realistically ship.

What you bring

  • 2+ years as a Product Owner making real scope decisions on a team of 8+ engineers.
  • A value-first mindset: optimize for value shipped, not tickets closed, and be able to explain tradeoffs when shipping less delivers more.
  • Ability to reason about cost of delay and effort versus value in a transparent way, not only through story points.
  • Comfort reading API contracts and discussing service boundaries without a translator. Node.js and microservices experience is a plus.
  • Engineer-friendly specs: able to see and reflect real tickets you’ve written.
  • English proficiency at B1/B2+ level.
  • AI-first by default: if you are not already using AI to 3x your output, you may be behind the pace of the team.

First 3 months expectations

  • Day 1: no long onboarding. Access on day one, context in days, and a real problem in week one.
  • End of month 1: know the codebase map and team; own a continuously ordered queue with a visible score; capture baseline flow metrics (cycle time and WIP).
  • End of month 3 (the bar): cycle time improves versus month-1 baseline with before/after evidence; founders are out of the delivery loop for prioritization, scope, and ship decisions; briefs turn into shipped product in the right increments without needing pushes.
  • Feedback cadence: honest checkpoints at 2 weeks, 1 month, and 2 months. Evaluate trajectory over perfection, correct quickly, and establish fit by month 2 if things are not working.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary above market benchmarks.
  • Time off: three weeks paid vacation plus 5 paid sick days annually.
  • Unlimited learning opportunities and resources.
  • Remote-first setup with async-friendly communication.

What we offer, in practice: impact and autonomy through ownership of delivery outcomes and team efficiency, plus a growth-minded environment with AI-heavy tooling and automation across workflows.
