The Product Owner for Enrollment and Billing Correspondence at Healthfirst guides vision, backlog governance, and Agile delivery for core enrollment and billing communications.
Summary
The role entails defining the product vision, shaping the backlog, and enabling iterative, Agile development for enrollment and billing correspondence initiatives.
Location and Work Arrangement
The position is on site in New York, NY. It requires three days per week in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at either 100 Church Street, NYC or 1101 Greenwood Boulevard, Lake Mary, FL.
Compensation
Annual salary range: USD 99,700 β 168,810.
Responsibilities
- Articulate the product vision, objectives, and goals, define the minimum viable product, and create, refine, socialize, and prioritize the backlog.
- Govern backlog delivery by presenting items to the team, owning and refining user stories and supporting artifacts that describe new products or features, establishing acceptance criteria, and accepting stories upon completion.
- Support the growth and performance of the Agile team to raise maturity and outcomes.
- Collaborate daily with scrum teams to refine, groom, and accept stories and bugs for implementation.
- Develop UAT test cases, organize and facilitate UAT, track results, and work with the scrum master to resolve issues.
- Represent the team to external stakeholders, leaders, and other teams to ensure alignment and visibility of progress.
- Support the Agile Program and ensure adherence to enterprise Agile standards; provide feedback for process enhancements.
- Champion change and manage the implementation of new ideas effectively.
- Align and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and redesign processes to accelerate objectives and improve outcomes.
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with team members to promote growth and accountability.
- Communicate relevant information clearly to all organizational levels.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define workflows and requirements, and prioritize these collaboratively.
- Reinforce a team-oriented approach across client projects and internal initiatives.
- Solicit input from team members at all levels and foster a spirit of collaboration.
- Contribute high quality work and strengthen partnership with the broader team.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
- Continuously seek ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen business relationships.

Requirements
- Experience as a Product Owner within an Agile environment.
- Proven ability to lead developers in a deadline-driven, fast-paced setting, whether as a project manager or product owner.
- Strong multitasking skills with solid knowledge of project management concepts, preferably Agile/SCRUM.
- Hands-on experience directing process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation abilities.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Hiring Range
Greater New York City Area residents (NY, NJ, CT): $116,800 β 168,810; All other locations within approved areas: $99,700 β 148,325.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, with preferred study areas including technology, business, or project management.
- Experience using PEGA.
- Experience owning correspondence or document-generation capabilities, including automated triggers, template logic, data population, output file creation, and downstream fulfillment or print workflows.
- Strong understanding of business rule driven correspondence, including how rules determine generation timing, data usage, templates, and exception identification.
- Experience with database-driven processes, data mapping, extracts, integrations, and validation to ensure accurate and complete correspondence.
- Familiarity with operational exception handling for correspondence, including defining criteria, routing for review, remediation support, and monitoring quality or compliance impacts.
Education
Minimum education requirement: a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
