Job Description
Publicis Groupe Holdings B.V, through its Epsilon advertising and marketing technology platforms, is looking for a Senior Manager of Product Design to lead the creation of user-centered experiences at scale. This onsite role in Chicago blends autonomy with broad cross-functional influence, guiding design direction for complex initiatives and leveraging AI to ideate and validate concepts in close collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design strategy for flagship, high-impact initiatives that require nuanced judgment beyond standard playbooks.
- Choose and tailor UX methods such as wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, scenarios, data diagrams, and prototypes to fit the problem and organizational context.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate early-stage ideation, rapid concept exploration, and validation, while combining qualitative and quantitative signals into a clear design direction under ambiguity.
- Shape and refine design principles and patterns in alignment with a multi-year product vision, accounting for AI-driven shifts in user expectations and interaction models.
- Build and maintain formal cross-functional networks across product, engineering, data science, legal, and other design teams to align on experience goals and drive complex work forward.
- Establish platform-minded design standards to ensure coherent, extensible solutions that align with a shared design system across multiple teams and product areas.
- Serve as a quality anchor and thought partner for the broader design organization, anticipating emerging user needs and design challenges, and linking long-horizon UX thinking to business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in Product Design / User Experience, with a track record of operating at a senior individual contributor level.
- Experience delivering within Lean, Agile, or Scrum environments across large, complex cross-functional product organizations.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership on complex, data-intensive platforms (advertising technology, finance, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment on significant, uniquely difficult problems where no obvious playbook exists.
- Proven ability to build and coordinate formal cross-functional networks to drive alignment and move work forward.
