Job Description

Delinea offers a collaborative, growth‑minded culture in Redwood City with a comprehensive benefits package to support your professional and personal goals. This onsite Senior Product Manager role focuses on the Desktop Client and its SDK/CLI, a cross‑platform client delivering secure, just‑in‑time access across macOS, Windows, and Linux. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution for this product area, partnering across teams to unify connection brokering, credential delivery, and protocol access into a cohesive experience.

Benefits and culture

  • Compensation: USD 130,000 to 162,000 per year
  • Bonus program
  • Pension/retirement matching
  • Comprehensive life insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Time off plans and paid company holidays

Responsibilities

  • Own the long‑term vision and multi‑release roadmap for the Desktop Client, SDK, and CLI across platforms, balancing foundational work with customer‑visible incremental delivery.
  • Define a strategy to unify connection brokering, credential delivery, and protocol access into a single client experience, guiding consolidation of legacy desktop and connection‑management use cases.
  • Develop and communicate the business case, success metrics, and outcome targets to executives, customers, and the broader organization.
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery—from discovery through launch—writing crisp requirements, ruthlessly prioritizing, and making trade‑offs that keep the product shipping on cadence (private preview, GA, and beyond).
  • Collaborate with engineering on cross‑platform architecture decisions for the client and its SDK/CLI, translating technical constraints into actionable product direction.
  • Define the experience for connecting across SSH, RDP, VNC, HTTPS, Kubernetes, databases, and cloud providers, including credential‑set selection, live connection state, and a visual inventory of targets.
  • Establish metrics, telemetry, and feedback loops to measure adoption, reliability, and friction, then iterate accordingly.
  • Represent IT administrators, power users, and developers by understanding tool fragmentation, credential handling, and just‑in‑time access pain the product solves.
  • Engage with customers, prospects, analysts, and field teams to validate direction and positioning, ensuring a credible, unified access experience in evaluations.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and keep the roadmap ahead of consolidated enterprise access and secure‑browser offerings.
  • Serve as the product lead for Desktop Client across the organization, clarifying scope, sequencing, and ownership relative to adjacent platform services.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, UX, security and GRC, platform and infrastructure, and go‑to‑market teams to deliver a cohesive product.
  • Mentor other product managers, modeling strong product judgment, clear written communication, and technical fluency.
  • Work with Security and Compliance to meet enterprise security expectations, including FedRAMP requirements, without adding friction for end users.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, including leadership of technical, infrastructure, security, or identity products.
  • Proven ability to set vision and strategy for a complex product and drive it through delivery at scale.
  • Experience owning desktop, CLI, or cross‑platform applications (macOS/Windows/Linux) or comparable client‑centric systems.
  • Strong technical fluency in networking and secure access concepts, including SSH, RDP, VNC, HTTPS; TLS and certificates; databases, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Ability to translate deep architectural constraints into a clear, customer‑facing roadmap and defend hard prioritization trade‑offs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a track record of influencing executives, engineers, and customers.
