Senior Product Manager, Market Strategy

Job Description

The role focuses on growing Wolters Kluwer Lien Solutions' commercial lending offerings by optimizing existing products, exploring new market segments, and coordinating go-to-market and marketing activities to articulate value and support the sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support optimization of existing product offerings to improve performance and market alignment
  • Leverage new product opportunities to broaden and strengthen current service offerings
  • Evaluate potential new solution sets for customers and operationalize them strategically
  • Strengthen underperforming customer segments through targeted initiatives
  • Identify and pursue new customer segments
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging and communications that clearly articulate the value proposition
  • Ensure sales and service teams are prepared to represent the brand and strengthen customer relationships, positioning Wolters Kluwer as the provider of choice
  • Own the product lifecycle from launch through growth, maturity, saturation, and decline
  • Monitor and analyze product performance against objectives; recommend improvements to drive results
  • Support sales with product highlights and strategic guidance
  • Own the overall customer experience by partnering with sales and IT leads to deliver innovative solutions
  • Develop deep expertise in financial services customer needs and problems to solve
  • Conduct thorough customer and market research to understand needs and workflows
  • Engage target markets through visits, sales opportunities, stakeholder meetings, and industry events
  • Continuously study market dynamics, map products to needs, monitor data and competition, and identify gaps
  • Manage discovery and validation of market opportunities and needs
  • Generate viable new product and service concepts aligned with strategy and position goals
  • Develop business cases and presentations for new concepts, detailing usage, customer value, and differentiation
  • Support business cases with market research, customer data, internal insights, and competitive analysis
  • Establish marketing programs for new products and enhancements
  • Identify market segments, positioning, pricing strategy, and profitability
  • Identify distribution channels and coordinate product introductions for maximum penetration
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the new product value proposition and competitive position
  • Assist in training sales teams to prospect, qualify targets, demonstrate value, and close
  • Support sales leadership with plans to drive results aligned with the business plan
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of core business, market size, customer profiles, competition, and trends to evaluate growth opportunities
  • Utilize customer insights to optimize market positions
  • Develop go-to-market strategies based on in-depth market research
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand market perception and recommend enhancements
  • Work with sales and support to create or update tools and training to maximize sales
  • Maximize product performance by aligning sales and marketing with profitability and market share goals

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in software product management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop business cases
  • Experience creating presentations for senior management
  • Go-to-market experience
  • Experience in banking or commercial lending solutions with related workflows
  • Background in B2B software product management or marketing
  • Experience with web-based search products, data and content monetization

Compensation
