Sr. Product Manager
Job Description
Iteris is hiring a Sr. Product Manager to lead strategy, roadmap, and commercialization for hardware management and monitoring software and services. This onsite role in Irvine, CA focuses on products and platforms that support a unified, reliable, secure device management experience for the installed base, including VantageLink and VantageCare.
In this position, you will connect customer and business needs to product and platform requirements, from device monitoring and remote configuration to edge compute, sensors, and connectivity. You will also partner across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to define interface contracts, lifecycle plans, and launch readiness activities that balance innovation with dependable customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and product requirements for device monitoring, remote configuration, diagnostics, health reporting, alerts, and OTA firmware/software update workflows
- Own the commercialization of management software and service tiers (including device management, monitoring, preventative maintenance, warranty/coverage tiers, and support bundles), and collaborate with Sales and Marketing on positioning, TCO models, and launch plans
- Drive integration requirements across device firmware, cloud services, and customer-facing tools to deliver a unified monitoring and management experience
- Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure management software and services support bundling and upsell/cross-sell across the Iteris portfolio
- Shape the hardware product strategy and roadmap across sensors, edge compute, and connectivity with a focus on manageability, reuse, and manufacturability
- Translate customer needs and business goals into platform requirements and hardware specifications, including performance, power, environmental factors, mounting, networking, cybersecurity, compute, and storage
- Partner with hardware and software engineering to define interface contracts and software abstraction layers that enable multi-product reuse
- Work with engineering, operations, and supply chain on component selection, cost targets, reliability, test plans, and BOM optimization
- Contribute to hardware lifecycle management across revisions and EOL/EOS, including backward compatibility and migration planning with minimal customer disruption
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on certification/compliance plans and launch readiness gates
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in product management, including launching and managing products across their lifecycle
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, connectivity, cloud platforms, and data analytics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage with customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and associated Product Owner roles
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred
Preferred qualifications
- MBA or relevant advanced degree

Compensation and benefits
Salary: USD 130,500 - 163,800 per year.
