You will assess pricing application needs, unlock value through thoughtful pricing strategy and workflow improvements, and steward the end-to-end product lifecycle within a collaborative, cross functional team. Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of end users and translate insights into the quickest path to value.
- Turn business goals and user needs into a clear product strategy and communicate priorities to the development team, matrixed groups, and partners.
- Define goals, metrics, and analytics to demonstrate product value and continuously refine the backlog based on learning.
- Groom and manage the product backlog, making future decisions guided by delivered value.
- Collaborate with Finance to grasp financial requirements and support the creation of business plans for new opportunities.
- Monitor research and the competitive landscape to propose best in class solutions and maintain market leadership.
- Balance user needs with business goals to drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing.
- Document, review, and ensure adherence to quality and change control standards.
- Create, prioritize, and accept user stories and integrate them into release planning.
- Make product decisions that deliver daily value to stakeholders and customers.
- Assess pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value when considering features and enhancements.
- Participate in standups, iteration planning, product demos, and retrospectives.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non technical stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration with engineering, UX, and other teammates to drive value and remove impediments.
- Advocate for modern software development practices and the end user throughout the product lifecycle.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and champion the product accordingly.
- Work with the product team to monitor progress, share lessons learned, and define next steps.
- Manage cross functional expectations to execute the product strategy and educate requestors on prioritization based on tangible benefits and user experience.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks.
- Contribute to learning activities around modern software design and development practices (communities of practice).
- Engage in talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts to support the team.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in product management.
- Experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development based enterprise environment.
- Experience with contemporary product management practices and agile methods, including XP principles such as paired programming, test driven development, and continuous deployment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, fluid environment where priorities shift frequently.
- Strong communication and influence skills with both functional and technical teams across all levels.
- Proven ability to work as part of a collaborative, cross functional, modern software design and development team.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and technical decision making.
- Proficient in creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories.
- Experience conducting user research and testing to uncover needs.
- Skilled at identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
- Familiarity with how AI assisted development is reshaping software delivery and can be embedded in customer facing tools.
- Experience guiding more junior team members through Product Management fundamentals in a professional setting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
Direct Manager / Direct Reports
Typically reports to the Product Management Manager or Senior Manager.
Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10 percent of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most work is performed while seated in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move; rare occasions may involve lifting light articles.
