Job Description

Samsara is looking for a Staff Product Operations Manager, Platform to serve as an individual contributor, helping accelerate an enterprise-ready roadmap. In this role, you will drive ARR through platform decisions, partner with key product teams, and build internal data and AI tools that make platform usage and customer friction easier to understand and act on.

What you’ll do

  • Identify enterprise-readiness gaps that limit new business, expansion, and retention, and shape prioritization so the work measurably improves ARR.
  • Partner with Billing, Org & Auth, and Security to define priorities, remove blockers, and track progress against commitments Sales and customers are waiting on.
  • Build and ship internal data and AI products that help Product and Engineering teams understand platform usage, customer friction, and the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including product telemetry, support tickets, customer conversations, feature requests, surveys, and product metadata, to identify patterns that are difficult to find manually.
  • Convert one-time analyses into reliable, repeatable tools and workflows, including clear data definitions, quality checks, documentation, and feedback loops.
  • Translate complex findings into decision-ready recommendations for R&D leadership while preserving the evidence and methodology.
  • Quantify the revenue impact of platform investments and report on it, establishing a clear, defensible ARR case before and after launch.
  • Own projects end to end, from scoping the problem and connecting the right data, to building the first version, launching, measuring adoption and business impact, and iterating.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully by checking outputs, debugging failures, and applying judgment rather than assuming generated work is automatically correct.
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles, including Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, and Win as a Team as the company scales globally.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in product operations, data or product analytics, business operations, consulting, technical product management, or a similar environment where you solved ambiguous problems using data and technology.
  • A proven record of building and shipping something useful for real users, such as an internal tool, dashboard, automation, data product, or repeatable analytical workflow.
  • Experience connecting work to revenue or an equivalent business outcome (ARR, retention, expansion, cost) and the ability to explain how decisions drove results.
  • Strong ability to structure and analyze messy or large datasets, validate findings, and clarify what the analysis does and does not prove.
  • Product and customer judgment focused on user problems and business outcomes, not just technology.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • High ownership, curiosity, and attention to detail, with comfort learning quickly, asking sharp questions, forming a point of view, and iterating through ambiguity.

Location and work model

Additional role context

  • Support Billing, Org & Auth, and Security product teams by turning ambiguous questions into rigorous analyses, repeatable workflows, and internal tools used across Product and Engineering.
