Staff Product Operations Manager, Platform

Boulder, CO Remote $126k - $203k/yr Full time Posted 1h ago

Job Description

Samsara is building an enterprise-ready platform roadmap, and the Product Operations team helps connect product execution to measurable business outcomes. In this individual-contributor role, you partner across Billing, Org & Auth, and Security to identify the gaps that slow progress and to quantify the ARR impact of platform investments. You will also create internal data and AI products that help Product and Engineering teams understand platform usage, customer friction, and the highest-impact opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Drive ARR through platform decisions by spotting enterprise-readiness gaps that limit new business, expansion, and retention, and by shaping prioritization so that fixes measurably move ARR.
  • Accelerate enterprise-ready delivery with cross-functional partners in Billing, Org & Auth, and Security to define priorities, remove blockers, and track progress against commitments customers and Sales are waiting on.
  • Build and ship internal data and AI products that enable Product and Engineering teams to understand platform usage, customer friction, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Analyze large datasets spanning product telemetry, support tickets, customer conversations, feature requests, surveys, and product metadata to uncover patterns that are difficult to find manually.
  • Turn one-time analyses into repeatable workflows with clear data definitions, quality checks, documentation, and feedback loops.
  • Deliver decision-ready recommendations to R&D leadership, keeping the evidence and methodology behind each finding intact.
  • Quantify revenue impact of platform investments and report on it so each roadmap bet has a defensible ARR case before and after launch.
  • Own projects end to end, including scoping, connecting the right data, building an initial version, launching, measuring adoption and business impact, and continuing to improve.
  • Use AI-assisted development thoughtfully by verifying outputs, debugging failures, and applying sound judgment rather than accepting generated work as automatically correct.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and into new offices: Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team.

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of professional experience in product operations, data or product analytics, business operations, consulting, technical product management, or a similar environment solving ambiguous problems with data and technology.
  • A demonstrated record of building and shipping something useful for real users, such as an internal tool, application, dashboard, automation, data product, or repeatable analytical workflow.
  • A track record of connecting work to revenue or equivalent business results (ARR, retention, expansion, cost) with the ability to show how decisions caused outcomes.
  • Experience with messy or large datasets, including structuring and analyzing them, validating results, and explaining what analysis does and does not prove.
  • Strong product and customer judgment that starts with the user problem and business outcome, not the technology.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for explaining technical or analytical work to non-technical partners and executives while preserving key details.
  • High ownership and curiosity with attention to detail, comfort learning quickly, asking sharp questions, forming a point of view, and iterating through ambiguity.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary range: USD 126,000 - 202,500 per year
  • Total rewards: Compensation program delivering above-market total compensation through a combination of base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles) in a high-growth public company
  • Flexible working: Flexible, employee-led remote model
  • Professional development stipend
  • Health and parental leave: Comprehensive health and parental leave plans

Remote work location

  • Remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
  • Offices are open for those who prefer in-person work, and remote work is supported where it aligns with operational requirements.
  • Some roles may require proximity to an office or alignment with specific geographic/service regions.
  • Offers are contingent on the ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work in the specified location.
