Job Description

IDR, Inc. is adding a Technical Product Owner to support a ServiceNow development team operating in a Scaled Agile environment. This contract role is primarily remote, with work centered from Eagan, Minnesota, and coordination aligned to CST hours.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product management, and engineering to translate requirements into actionable backlog items and to keep business and technical teams aligned throughout Agile delivery. The position also includes supporting SAFe dependencies as the team works through planning, refinement, and review cycles.

What you will do

  • Partner with business stakeholders, product management, and development teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items that teams can deliver against.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to support shared understanding and successful delivery.
  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Help prioritize work and manage competing stakeholder needs while operating within SAFe dependency constraints.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience, or 7+ years of relevant technical experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, engineering, technology, or healthcare.
  • Certification in Scrum Product Owner within 1 year.
  • Strong Business Analyst experience supporting Agile software development teams.
  • Working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and the ServiceNow development lifecycle.
  • Ability to write and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation.
