Job Description

Truist Bank is building intelligent lending capabilities to modernize the commercial lending lifecycle through automation and AI-enabled decisioning. In this onsite role in Charlotte, NC (1st shift), you will help drive the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for end-to-end lending transformation, partnering with lending, credit, operations, risk, and technology teams to improve both speed and decision quality.

What you’ll do

  • Lead delivery team priorities during PI planning, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies, aligned to experience platform priorities and the product vision.
  • Work with product managers to articulate product strategy to the delivery team and keep execution aligned with enterprise themes.
  • Deliver new experiences by partnering with delivery, experience design, business, and operations stakeholders to design new products and improve existing capabilities.
  • Own the team backlog by authoring and maintaining user stories, and serving as a subject matter expert on features, stories, and product capabilities.
  • Perform triage on critical issues, communicating consistently with all concerned parties.
  • Provide support to development by answering questions, clarifying requirements, and coordinating business validation with a focus on fitness for use.
  • Update leadership on epic and feature delivery schedules, including dependencies that impact deliverables, and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with solution architects and technical leads to ensure solutions address program priorities while balancing client experience and technical integrity.
  • Facilitate sprint planning and sprint demos to drive alignment on what will be built and when, and to provide final acceptance for completed user stories that meet acceptance criteria and the team definition of done.
  • Coordinate creation of release-specific business documents, such as support model definitions, go/no-go approvals, internal release notes, and other release-related living documents.
  • Support completion of the Product Management Lifecycle (PML) process and procedures, partnering on evidence for recommendations while supporting security, risk, audit, and related action items.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, digital, or other relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of product, analysis, technology, and/or design experience.
  • 3+ years leading cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering, design, or technology field (or related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience).
  • Experience defining and delivering digital business initiatives to execute against a product roadmap.
  • Demonstrated technical acumen and ability to align product and technology roadmaps.
  • Ability to translate strategic plans into daily execution actions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Comfort managing concurrent projects in a fast-based, results-driven environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, leading work autonomously, and making independent decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Agile certifications such as CSPO, SAFe POPM, or SAFe Agilist.
  • Experience with commercial banking, commercial real estate (CRE) lending, and credit operations.
  • Expertise in loan origination, underwriting, spreading, risk rating, covenant monitoring, and portfolio management processes.
  • Strong functional requirements and workflow design capabilities.
  • Consulting or business transformation experience, including hands-on implementation of AI/GenAI, intelligent document processing, automated spreading, credit memo generation, workflow orchestration, and decision-support solutions with regulatory compliance, governance, and human oversight.
  • Experience as a Product Owner on Agile teams.
  • Experience working with distributed teams (onshore/offshore).

Job details: Regular position. English required. Minimal travel, up to 10%. Constant sitting (more than 50% of the time) with frequent standing and walking (25% to 50%). Ability to access and interpret client information from a computer, and to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone. Ability to work standard office equipment. Ability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
