Associate Director, Product Operations & Production
Job Description
Two Six Technologies is seeking a hands-on Associate Director to lead Product Operations & Production for secure hardware and software products. This role owns end-to-end order-to-delivery execution, manufacturing transition to production, certifications and compliance, supply chain planning, and the implementation of PLM to enable full unit traceability while leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own order-to-delivery execution, including building an end-to-end plan for each customer order, coordinating schedules across concurrent orders and products, surfacing risks early, and creating repeatable fulfillment playbooks.
- Manage supply chain forecasting and planning, including pre-buys and mitigation of component obsolescence.
- Lead manufacturing transfer, moving products from prototype to production at the Dayton, OH site and/or with contract manufacturers.
- Drive production readiness artifacts such as build plans, work instructions, test procedures, first-article inspection, and yield ramp activities.
- Provide hands-on support for build and test issues when needed.
- Coach engineers on operational documentation to ensure clean handoffs, including BOMs, drawings, test procedures, and configuration records.
- Run supply chain and forecasting operations, forecasting demand, managing long-lead electronic components and inventory, and qualifying and managing contract manufacturers plus PCB and component vendors.
- Implement and manage PLM as the single source of truth for BOMs, revisions, and change control, including setup for serialization and delivery tracking for full unit traceability.
- Build product operations across the portfolio, including certification and compliance activities for both hardware and software products.
- Extend processes over time by broadening release, delivery, and operational workflows to the wider Two Six Products team.
- Lead the team and manage the operating budget, including leading and growing team capacity and reporting on-time delivery, cost, and quality metrics to leadership.
- Own production cost planning and production cost plans, linking execution outcomes to operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 9+ years in hardware manufacturing, new product introduction (NPI), or production and product operations for electronics or complex software systems
- 3+ years leading people or cross-functional programs
- Strong project or program management record, including end-to-end ownership of complex product deliveries against committed dates
- Hands-on experience leading at least one manufacturing transfer from prototype through production ramp
- Experience with supply chain management and forecasting for electronic components
- Experience implementing or managing a PLM system
- Experience with budget planning and management
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with ATOs, FIPS 140-3, CSfC, or similar certification and authorization processes
- Experience with product operations for software products, including release management, delivery, and compliance
- Experience building operations from scratch in a startup or scale-up environment

Salary: USD 185,000 - 235,000 per year
