Digital Product Manager
Job Description
The American Retirement Association is seeking a Digital Product Manager to help drive the execution, coordination, and day-to-day operation of its software products. This hybrid role in Arlington, VA will begin with platforms including Ask ERISA and the ERISA Outline Book (EOB), with responsibility spanning launches and ongoing improvements.
In this position, you will work across Marketing, IT, Education, Sales, and Customer Care to evaluate feature requests, lead launch readiness and quality assurance, track product performance using adoption and engagement metrics, and turn customer and field feedback into a prioritized product backlog.
Key responsibilities
- Feature and roadmap execution: Evaluate and recommend new feature requests for prioritization.
- Prioritization framework: Establish and maintain a repeatable framework for prioritizing across multiple products competing for shared engineering and support capacity.
- Cross-functional coordination: Act as the connective layer across Marketing, IT, Education, Sales Operations, and Customer Care for product launches and operations.
- Pricing and packaging input: Coordinate with the sales team on pricing and packaging, contributing product input and customer feedback.
- Launch readiness: Manage operational checklist items, testing, and go-live punch lists for new products across teams.
- Quality assurance and acceptance: Coordinate sign-off across stakeholders as part of QA and acceptance.
- Operations and documentation: Maintain standard operating procedures for product and account lifecycle operations, including provisioning, seat changes, and deactivation.
- Evaluation and launch standards: Develop and document standards for how new products are evaluated, scoped, and launched.
- Customer and field enablement: Equip sales and customer care with product knowledge for demos and conferences.
- Structured feedback loop: Translate customer feedback into prioritized product improvements, running a structured loop from users and the field into the product backlog.
- Metrics and reporting: Monitor product metrics such as adoption, engagement, feature usage, and feedback.
- Resource and consumption monitoring: Track resource and consumption metrics and report out to support planning, budgeting, and identification of resource abuse or unsustainable usage.
- Stakeholder updates: Report product status, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders.

- Working knowledge of software product management practices, including backlog input, requirements gathering, launch coordination, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with SaaS and subscription product operations, including provisioning, account lifecycle, and usage-based cost monitoring.
- General understanding of AI-powered or retrieval-based software products and related cost and performance considerations.
- Comfort with virtual communication and presentation platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Fonteva (or other Association Management Systems, Content Management Systems, and Digital Experience Platforms).

Location and work arrangement
- Hybrid work arrangement (telework on Mondays and Fridays; in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

Travel and physical requirements
- Occasional domestic travel for conferences, product demos, and team meetings.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (home and office environment).
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, phones, and printers.
- Visual acuity to view and analyze information on a computer screen for extended periods.
- Occasional light lifting (up to 20 lbs) for transporting a laptop or office materials between work locations.
- Ability to commute to the office as required (at least 3 days per week).
- Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, or team collaborations.
Compensation and education
- Salary: $100,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
- Experience: Minimum 3 years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
