Job Description
Information Consulting Services of Delaware Valley seeks a Digital Product Owner to guide the development of customer-facing web and mobile experiences within an Agile framework. The role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, UX teams, and developers to translate requirements into deliverable features. This contract position is based in Pearl River, NY with a hybrid work arrangement and a focus on advancing digital adoption and engaging user journeys.
Position Overview
We are looking for a customer-focused Digital Product Owner to steer the delivery of web and mobile experiences that enhance the overall customer journey. Working in an Agile environment, this role partners with business stakeholders, UX designers, and development teams to define product requirements, set priorities, and deliver high-quality digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog to align with business goals and customer needs.
- Translate business requirements into well-defined Epics, Features, and User Stories.
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and feature priorities.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and refine product functionality.
- Balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints in decision making.
- Serve as the Product Owner for an Agile delivery team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and related Agile ceremonies.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage the product backlog, user stories, sprint planning, and Agile tracking.
- Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and remove delivery obstacles.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and customer expectations.
- Drive enhancements for customer-facing digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Work with UX teams to improve usability, accessibility, and customer engagement.
- Support initiatives aimed at digital adoption and self-service capabilities.
- Participate in customer journey mapping and digital transformation efforts.
- Help define front-end functionality that enhances the overall customer experience.
- Partner with UX designers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Communicate product priorities, release plans, and project updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making while balancing competing priorities across multiple teams.
- Support continuous process improvements within Agile delivery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience delivering customer-facing web and/or mobile digital products.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery.
- Experience writing Epics, Features, and User Stories.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience leading Agile ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
