Job Description

USAA is hiring a Digital/Technical Product Manager II (Mid-level) to support discovery, delivery, and performance for a centralized decisioning and orchestration platform. In this hybrid role based in the San Antonio, TX area, you will help evolve USAA’s next best experience platform, enabling personalized, real-time, context-aware experiences across the full member lifecycle.

This role focuses on operationalizing always-on, event-driven decisioning through strong product management discipline, experimentation, and continuous optimization. You will also establish governance, performance measurement, and operational rigor so the platform can scale consistently across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Use Digital or Technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to help identify opportunities, propose solutions, develop and maintain roadmaps, and improve performance.
  • Prepare supporting data and materials to support presentations and other stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with stakeholders to formulate strategies aligned to key Digital or Technology product goals.
  • Identify customer pain points and solve for areas of opportunity to guide product focus.
  • Apply data-driven problem-solving and analytical methods to understand and report product and experience performance against KPIs/KRIs.
  • Research industry best practices and emerging trends to strengthen Digital or Technology product effectiveness.
  • Maintain and apply growing knowledge of Business, Technology, UX, and relevant experiences and processes, including an academic understanding of Product Management.
  • Ensure risks tied to business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to solve complex problems and deliver member-centric experiences across service, advice, and deepening offerings.
  • Operationalize always-on, event-driven decisioning with experimentation and continuous optimization, while setting the governance and measurement needed for enterprise scale.
  • Lead the evolution of USAA’s next best experience platform, transforming how millions of members engage through personalized, real-time, and context-aware experiences across channels and journeys.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 2 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Digital/Technology work in areas such as Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, and Research/Testing.
  • 1 year of Customer Contact Channel experience within the Insurance or Financial services industry is required (to be included within the minimum experience requirement).
  • Experience developing presentations to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology.

Work location and flexibility

  • Hybrid role in San Antonio, TX.
  • Remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.
  • Flexible work environment requiring presence in the office 4 days per week.
  • Work can be based in: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; or Tampa, FL.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $77,120 - $147,390 per year.
  • Pay is determined within the range based on experience and market data; actual salary may vary by location.
  • Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance, at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
