Director, Product Manager- Global Payment Network
Job Description
Capital One is hiring a Director, Product Management for the Global Payments Network Product team. In this onsite role in McLean, VA, you will lead product efforts to modernize payment experiences and improve their consistency, scalability, and adoption across platforms.
Role Overview
As part of the Global Payments Network Product team, you will partner across the organization to transform how millions of customers engage with their money. The role focuses on delivering reliable, efficient, and user-friendly payment products by aligning teams around process improvement and execution against business goals.
Responsibilities
- Partner in the transformation of how millions of customers engage with their money.
- Own improvements to the consistency, scalability, and adoption of payment experiences across Capital One platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that support business goals and meet customer needs.
- Work across product areas including Authorizations, Settlement, Disputes, Backoffice, Pricing, and Go-to-Market.
- Use data, technology, and collaboration to deliver reliable, efficient, and user-friendly payment products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience.
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
About the Team
The Global Payments Network Product team works to transform how millions of customers engage with their money. You will drive responsibility for improving the consistency, scalability, and adoption of payment experiences across platforms, including evaluating current processes, identifying opportunities, and implementing solutions aligned to business goals and customer needs.
The work may span Authorizations, Settlement, Disputes, Backoffice, Pricing, and Go-to-Market, supported by data, technology, and cross-team collaboration to build payment products that are reliable, efficient, and user-friendly.

Compensation and Location
Location: McLean, VA (onsite)
Salary: USD 230,400 - 263,000 per year for Director, Product Management.
Capital One also lists location-specific salary ranges for the same role, including Chicago, IL ($209,500 - $239,100) and Riverwoods, IL ($209,500 - $239,100). Candidates hired in other locations are subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the annualized salary offered will be reflected solely in the offer letter.
Incentive Compensation
This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
