IP Product Manager
Job Description
Speco Technologies is seeking an IP Product Manager to steer the development and lifecycle of IP based access control products. This onsite role in Amityville, NY partners with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer support to deliver solutions that align with business objectives and meet customer needs. The position focuses on shaping strategy, managing roadmaps, and bringing innovative access control features to market.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for IP products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Conduct market analysis to identify pain points, industry trends, and opportunities for new features or innovations.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to drive development, launch, and ongoing optimization of access control products.
- Engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to gather feedback, define requirements, and ensure products meet industry standards.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, prioritize features, manage backlogs, and supervise day‑to‑day project execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, security standards, and best practices.
- Monitor competitive products and industry trends to inform development and positioning.
- Provide product knowledge and training to sales and customer support teams; develop user guides, technical documentation, and marketing materials.
- Define and track product KPIs such as adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue, using data to drive decisions that improve performance.
- Analyze user feedback and product performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and feature updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of product management experience, with a focus on IP products or related technologies.
- Strong understanding of IP video and cloud-based platforms.
- Familiarity with the physical security industry, including regulatory standards and challenges.
- Proven ability to manage product development projects from start to finish in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and craft effective solutions;
- Customer‑centric mindset and passion for delivering solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
